We were surprised to find a used book store in little ol Independence. The owners are nice, and we appreciate their book buying habits. Theyll take a lot of things others wouldnt, even if you dont get much for them. And you can get X amount in cash, or 2X in credit. The way credit works is when you make a purchase, you can use credit to pay up to 50% of your bill. The place isnt huge, but theyve got books packed in everywhere. Most are old; they dont seem to have a good turnover. The fiction and paperback sections, two that I dont use, take up most of the store. There are no tech books to speak of, and a limited selection of gardening, arts and crafts, etc. They allow the occasional well behaved dog in the store, too; this made it a perfect rainy day treat to get out with our pup, Winston. They have an interesting selection of culture/etiquette books, and a good section for northwest interests as well.

A Private User

You can get lost in this store among the many shelves (well-organized!) of books - a great variety of subjects here, I usually hit the natural history, classics, and asian sections which always have more tempting books than I can afford to buy. I have gotten some great Folio Society and similar quality editions at very fair prices. Best part is that the owners seem to love the book biz. Allow time to browse!

Ive been back a few times, and Ive loved this place every time I walk in. I recommend it to anyone looking for a bookstore. Especially for Sci-Fi and Fantasy fans, this is the place to go for reasonably (and often very reasonably) priced books. For Sci-Fi/Fantasy fans, there are 12 bookcases full of just paperback, and another bunch of hardback. Cant say enough good things about this gem of a bookstore!

I have gone in there several times looking for books and I have usually found everything I was looking for. The owners are very knowledgeable about books. I have described a part of a book and they told me the name and where it was on the shelf. I love going in there.

I love this bookstore. Theyre always willing to search for books I cant find. They have TONS of sci-fi and fansasy books. The credit is wonderful as I can get more books.... What more can I say? Its worth checking out!
