My husband and I recently *May 2005* purchased a 2005 Dodge Caravan. The sales person *Ryan* was extremely nice, and helpful, and still is one of the nicest Ive ever dealt with. The department manager, Rabi, however, is probably the worst customer service manager Ive ever come across! The van that we test drove was awesome! I loved it, my kids loved it, and with a little coaxing, my husband liked it too. It took us FOREVER to save up our down payment of $1200, and they allowed us to pay little by little. (I should mention here that the purchase price on the van was $13,500 when the KBB value resale is only $9000---we needed a vehicle SO badly that when they refused to come down on price, we HAD to agree just to have a running vehicle). When we actually purchased the vehicle, we had informed them that my husband had only about an hour until he had to be back to work *lunch break*. Instead of just letting him sign the papers and leave, it took 2 1/2 hours! He was late getting back to work. When I left with my van *3 hours later*, I left with a promise from the sales manager that they would detail my van later that week, because of all of the recent hail damage the lot had received. I agreed to this. (Still has not been done, and I broke my foot attepting to do it myself a month later, after SEVERAL phone calls, and multiple visits to the store). FOUR DAYS LATER we heard a noise. Called the warranty department, and they set us up with a mechanic that services vehicles for Drive Time. There are only TWO mechanic apparently, short of driving all the way to TULSA. We took our van out there, let them know there was a noise with one of the tires but we werent sure which side. They kept the van overnight, and "replaced" the right side front axel. Two months later, we were still hearing the "noise". I took it to a friend of mine who has been a mechanic for many years, only to be told that BOTH axles are bad, and that neither had ever been replaced. The day after that my husband took the van to Sears for the included in the warranty free oil changes, only to be told that they couldnt do it because the oil pan drain plug was stripped. A WEEK after that one of our tires was losing some air, so my husband took it to Hibdon Tires to have it filled. We were informed that the tire had been driven on FLAT for twenty miles or more, and the tire is now SHREDDED. (It was not FLAT when we took it to Hibdon, nor has it ever been flat the entire time weve owned the car). TWO weeks after the shredded tire, I went to let my daughter out at school, and the passenger side automatic door came off the track, and the door no longer closes properly. You can hear the wind whistle when you drive, TOTALLY unsafe!!! Have I mentioned yet that the AIRBAG light is on? According the manual that means they have MALFUNCTIONED!!! *****SAFETY HAZARDS***** I have confronted both the warranty department, the customer service department AND the location manager *rabi*, and NOTHING has come of it. I cant get anyone to return calls. Cannot get anyone to fix ANYTHING. To make matters worse my husband had EMERGENCY surgery and was out of work for two weeks. We went FOURTEEN days behind and they were calling every day to REPOSESS my vehicle. At this point, my husband and I are being forced into BANKRUPTCY to avoid the penatlies of surrendering this POS *to get a better running vehicle* and to cover his hospital bills. I will NEVER reccomend this place to family, friends, EVEN an enemy does not deserve this type of treatment! BEWARE!!! I cannot believe that we gave up our Chevy Trailblazer in replacement of this PIECE OF CRAP!!! UGH, so irrotated, that I cant even type!!!

This is by far the worst "buy here, pay here" place I think Ive ever had to deal with. First, they do everything they can to get these people to leave a great review before they leave the office, because it helps their checks. Thats why they have a 4.9 rating. Second, they play up the Averex warranty like its amazing when really, you will just spend all your time arguing with Averex about whats covered. I put $800 down on my leased vehicle and agreed to pay $340 the first 4 bi-weekly payments to make the rest of the lease payment inexpensive. Within the first 30 days the car broke down. I called Averex, they told me it wasnt covered. I spent almost $1000 on repairs and tires. Come to find out after furthur research, it was suppose to be covered. By that time I had already went to an outside network shop to get it fixed, and nobody notated the account that I called, so it was too late. One week after I got my car back, it broke down again. (Keep in mind Im still making high payments & had the car 4 weeks at this point.) This time we made sure it was covered and the warranty company paid for it. I called in to Drivetime to explain all the problems Ive been having and make arrangments on my payment. The person didnt notate the account or make the arrangment. I never recieved any phone calls about my payment because they put the wrong phone number on file. They repossessed the car from the mechanic, then told me Id have to pay the past due amount + the repo fee + my upcoming payment. All of this has happened within a 7 week period. Ive never felt so royally screwed by a company, in my life.

When I went to Drive Time in August they told me everything anyone buying a car would want to hear. The cars TPMS light was on and the guy who sold me the car and the manager assured me that it was under the warranty. Then when I go to fix it along with fixing the AC and a coil that was preventing my car from running right (keep in mind I at this time had the car 6 months). The warranty company didnt pay for it so now to fix it I have to pay another $200 they didnt cover the coil either. Thankfully they did cover the AC. They also tell you that they will reimburse you for a rent-a-car while your car was in the shop. The shop had my car for 6 days so I wound up paying almost $500 to rent-a-car. When I call today to find out why my check had not showed up after they said they processed almost two weeks ago. The man on the phone told me they had not processed it yet. They also proceed to tell me that they will only pay up to 25.99 a day. Sense the shop reported 2 hours of labor they will only pay for one day. The shop had my car for 6 days from a Friday till the next Thursday. After talking to the manager he agreed to pay me two days so a total of 51.98 out of the almost $500 I spent. If they would of informed me of this I would not have rented a car and would have tried to fine another route for a few days.
