I would love to name the person responsible for this review at Home Depot Norman on Ed Noble, but that store is so unethical there is no telling what they would do. If you want your life turned upside down and deal with the most incompetent people in the history of customer, then this is your store. Two weeks ago we bought $3500.00 in appliances, $2500.00 in flooring and were going to be charged $1000.00 for install. A week ago my friend went to pay the balance and schedule installation of flooring. The “person” we dealt with (who said she was a manager, which if true, Home Depot seriously needs to up their game when promoting people) called the installer, who said the first opening was Sept. 8. My friend told her to schedule it because he was closing on his house on Sept. 7. Based on that fact, we scheduled cleaning and a number of deliveries the following week. On Sept. 7, my friend went back to the store to see what time they would begin. The “person” he originally dealt with pulled up the schedule only to say we werent scheduled. She blamed the installer and said she would see what she could do. A number of very heated calls from me (after a total of about 45 minutes on hold all day) and calls from him to an assistant manager and the “person” resulted in promises to try to fix it. Their solution was to have the installer call my friend to say he would do it Sept. 12. Not good enough. So Sept. 7 ended with no resolution. On Sept. 8, the original install date, the “person” said they would use their remodel people for the install and they could do it Sept. 9. My friend was leaving town Sept. 10 for a funeral and the “person” knew that. She never said it would take more than one day at any time: not when we bought the flooring, when he paid for it, in the cluster of calls yesterday. Not until today, after saying it would be installed tomorrow, did she call back an hour later to say it would probably take more than a day and since he couldnt be there Saturday, they didnt think they could schedule it on the 9th, but they would work on it. After more heated phone calls and no resolution, at 3:30 p.m. my friend finally agreed to cancel the $3500.00 in appliances but decided to keep the flooring to expedite the process of getting it laid. And during all this, except for twice, store managements solution as to who best to handle the problem was to have the “person” who caused this fiasco to begin with answer the calls and run interference. Yeah, seriously bad business. I have had to cancel all the things I had scheduled for next week while we give our business to someone who will appreciate it....clearly anybody but them. At no time did the store manager call to see what he could do to keep our business...nice!! So, again, if you want to deal with incompetent people, have your life turned upside down and experience the absolute worst customer service ever, then go to the Home Depot on Ed Noble Pkwy. You will not be disappointed.

We ordered $5500 worth of tile. The order wasnt sent. Our phone number was incorrect at the time of purchase and was stated thus . Home Depot sent a person from another state to measure our house. We submitted an accurate computerized floor plan of angled tile for one room. That company could not figure out the amount of tile so we submitted our plan...twice to the store. No one returned our calls for over ten days. We kept driving to the store to actually not be put on hold on a phone. Then when the tile installers arrived at our house, they asked where are the tiles? Nobody had shipped the tile because "we were supposed to know that." The polite workers waited four hours for the tiles to arrive. The size of the tiles stated on the internet and the box were incorrect. We were charged an additional sum for our designs that didnt work anyway (Cash upfront, three weeks). The workers, my spouse and I had to design another tile plan and recalculate what could be used. The workers arrived promptly and were not told or given all of the initial paperwork we had drawn up. I already called the manager three times in one day to be put on hold. It has been eight hours as the myriad of mistakes still ensue. Next time I will calculate with the easy internet aids, lay, cut, space and grout my own tile with my PhD in education. One positive note, everyone smiles while they look subjectively stupid. The lack of communication is beyond comprehension.

I originally placed an order for a door measure and install in February 2017. The measure was completed in February 2017, but the install wasn’t completed until June 2017. The millwork department had to re-order the door three times because they kept entering the incorrect measurements for the door. Throughout the process I was unable to get ahold of the expediter or manager of the store. After the installer called to cancel the second appointment to install the door because the measurements were incorrect, I had to call the corporate office because millwork, the expediter and manager of the store did not return calls requesting information about what had gone wrong with the order. After the corporate office put me in touch with the manager, he stated he would call back the following Monday with additional information. Never heard back from the manager. Had to call corporate a second time to get in touch with the store. In the end, the installer ended up handling the order and installation. I will never again use Home Depot for any kind of installation service. I highly recommend others look to other outlets or, better yet, locally for home projects.

Here is an interesting statistic for you. Which is more likely to happen statistically? Winning the Oklahoma lottery or finding an employee at this Home Depot to help you get something down or for that matter at all? The answer is: winning the lotto. After searching for 25 minutes, my wife and I found a ladder, dragged it over to where we needed it, climbed up, and got what we needed. Of course, at this time an employee shows up, gives us some guff about how we arent supposed to do that and tried to be snotty about it. We ignored it, walked up to the front, where we of course..had to wait 5 minutes for a cashier to show up. So if you have time to burn and enjoy walking around and feeling like you are a burden, this is your place. However, the toilet seat we bought was nice.

Wow, has this store ever gone down in quality. There was a time when this was absolutely the place to come for remodeling and home repair. Knowledgeable and helpful personnel and great prices. No more. Now the help is surly and stupid, needing to call on their little walkie-talkie for the answer to the simplest questions. None of them seem to have any idea that they are there to help customers. And dont call the store to speak to the manager! He sure as hell doesnt want to bothered by someone as unimportant as a customer. The attitude that the customer is supposed to kowtow to store employees is pretty common in New York City. Its a shame that its found a new home in Norman, OK. I just go to Lowes now. They at least seem happy to have me in the store.
