I have a love-hate relationship with this place. Im well aware of the fact that Dollar General actually marks UP their prices(for example, a product that would be $2.50 at Walmart is rounded up to $3 at DG), but I still shop there cause its close to the house and I often dont have the strength to deal with Walmart. Anyway, I went in last night for a couple things and they had a sign that said blue-dot items are 40% off. I needed new slippers and hey look, the slippers are blue-dot! However, when I get to the register they rang up full price. I told the cashier that theyre supposed to be 40% off, I was very polite but she sighed loudly and snapped "show me where it says that!". So I took her back there and showed her and shes like "hmmph, ok". We go back to the register and she starts to change the price, but then another employee stocking shelves by the register pipes up and says they arent 40% off, theyre *BUY one GET one 40% off*. I say thats not what the sign says, and she snaps back "well thats what the sale is". Neither of them could have been more rude. Nobody apologized for the sale sign being deceptive, nobody thanked me for shopping there, the store is disorganized and dirty, and both employees reeked of cigarettes. Gross. Ill still shop at DG but never again at this location.

I live in this neighborhood and I am a manager myself.I do not like crowds so I prefer to go to a smaller store to avoid this. Last year I broke my leg and I attempted to go to the dollar store to purchase a few items. I couldnt get down any isles. I have been back a few different times, hoping to be able to run in and get a few items. Every single time the isles are full of stock and merchandise needing to be put up ,everything is filthy, the cashiers are usually rude and the managers always outside smoking. I have started going to the new neighborhood Wal-Mart. Although its a bigger store and its a little more work the store is clean and the people are friendly .Im not sure how this store is still in business???The fire marshal should shut it down because if you are in a wheel chair or have a stroller you cannot get through the store ever. Never going there again!!!!!!!

I went into this location when I thought I was getting a good deal on oil. I got to my car and realized oh I was rang up at full price so I went in to have it fixed, the lady and I looked it was going to be changed when another employee decides to rip off the tag and make me feel foolish by saying three different people read it wrong. Myself, my boyfriend, and even the lady at the register. Well I went to my regular dollar general, and guess what the same oil with the same price tag was being advertised. I received it with no complications, I will more then likely never return to this location. I have to say though that the lady at the register was very kind and respectful.

I, personally, feel that Dollar General stores are a hidden neighborhood gem. Their wares are generally hardier than comparable things bought at, say, Dollar Tree or Family Dollar. This store seems a bit more crowded than the majority of DG stores Ive been in, and slightly more disheveled. However, the people that Ive encountered who work here have been pleasant to talk to, and I appreciate that anywhere I go.

They have awesome sales and their staff is amazing. They are very friendly and can help find things quickly. They have wonderful after holiday sales too. The only down fall is the lines are typically long as they only have 1 checker or sometimes 2 and lots of customers.

Very disorganized and usually their products are still in the boxes blocking the isles. They usually always have what I am looking for; however, which is convenient. Just wished they didnt still have stuff in boxes when I go here to shop.

Can Not get the register system to work. Blaming it on the weather. Yeah right. Incompetent staff. How does anything in Norman expect to work when the employees cant operate a simple IBM POS system??? Unacceptable!!!!!

Extremely flattered hard to walk to the store. Someone needs to seriously organize it store. I will go out of my way to go to another store because of the Clutter , really moving out these Isles.

One of my favorite places to go. The staff here is awesome and they usually have everything I need. If it was a super center I would definitely ditch walmart.
