I purchased a washer and dryer on 3/27/2017. When rhe delivery company came they only had dryer. He called snd was in hold the whole time he was here. I called delivery company and they said it was on back order. Finally after couple weeks I called Home Depot and the girl tracked it down and gave me a new delivery date. That day came and went no washer no calls. Called Home Depot again talked to assistant manager, he said once bought its closed on their computer. He said its up to delivery company to keep me informed but he had a new delivery date of 4/29. Well 4/29 came and went no calls. I called delivery people today Ricks Delivery service. The lady said it wasnt their responsibility to contact customer on delayed appliances. So she gave me Samsungs phone number. Called them and the washer I ordered has been discontinued but they upgraded me free of charge to a washer that matches my dryer. Will be 48 to 72 hrs before I should hear on delivery. All my major appliances will be purchased from an appliance store that if there is a problem I can talk to someone that knows whats going on without being transferred 3 to 4 times and put on hold over 37 minutes. Home Depot has always been my favorite store. And if I have to purchase anything I will go back to Shields Home Depot. I want a store that values their customers.

I will never shop here again. I purchase a refrigerator online that included free delivery and installation. I found out the only reason the installation is free is because it doesnt happen. The guy glanced at my old water line and said the standard line that they brought was too short. He never even looked for the water shut off valve to confirm that the line was too short. All he said was that I could exchange the water line for a longer one and I assumed that if I did that, home depot would get some else to come and finish the install. Turned out, I would have to install it myself. When I complained, the lady said the delivery guy didnt even note that he didnt install the water line. Why would he? And if I wanted to install it myself or hire a plumber I would have bought a refrigerator from a place that does not INCLUDE FREE INSTALLATION WITH PURCHASE. I didnt purchase the refrigerator from this place wanting them to only do a half ass job. Its bullshit. Save yourself the hassle and buy elsewhere.

So I shop at both Lowes and Home Depot often. I usually show my VA Card to the cashier to get the 10% discount that they offer to current and ex military. Recently, I replaced my State drivers license and I was able to get them to put Veteran on my license by showing them my disability paperwork from the VA. When I went to lowes the other day I showed them my license and they happily accepted it and I went on my way but today when I was at Home Depot the cashier argued with me and said that I had to have either my VA card, CAC card, or DD214 before I could receive the discount. Now yes I know its not to hard to take my VA card every where I go but I rather think that this is such an absurd policy that I will no longer take my business to Home Depot. If your going to offer a discount to vets honor it, if not, then dont. Please if you support our Military Current and Past DO NOT shop at Home Depot!!!

Im beyond tired of being ignored when I go into a business actually in need of help (your competitor up the street and around the corner included), but my latest experience at the Home Depot in Moore broke my faith and confidence in human nature. As if walking up and down for about 10 minutes watching your staff fall over other people wasnt enough of a clue, I guess not being elderly, obese, or with a family of bratty toddlers in tow excluded me from basic "Can I help you?" customer service. Also, to the jerk who stole my cart and pretended not to know it was mine, youre a lazy...jerk. As luck would have it, I MIGHT have to return to the Moore location to purchase an item thats only available on the retail level at Home Depot; or maybe Ill spend a few extra bucks and have it shipped to me, just to keep the $14.00 out of Home Depots pocket. If you just want to run in and know exactly what you need, its just that. I have been in 5 or 6 times and I have yet to have anyone to ask me if they can help me find anything even though my face and body language says I need help. There was one exception and that was an older gentleman in lumber helped me out tremendously and was just a sweetheart. But, everybody else in an orange vest avoided me like the plague. There have been times where 3 or 4 people will be congregated especially at the registers and self check-out is pretty much the only option unless you want to bother people to work while they are on the clock. Self-checkout is not ideal in a store where you are purchasing items like I do in Home Depot with varying lengths, prices per foot and yard, etc. Its a pain, but usually there is someone there to kind of help you through it.

I have had numerous bad experiences with home Depot. Poor service, a dirty store and low quality material comes to mind. Customer service is difficult at best. Also, they are anti-veteran/military. While their competition (Lowes) offers a ten percent discount to military, this place does not. But thats not a big deal, its their perogative to give a discount or not. But when I asked them about it, their "district manager" who happened to be present at the time was extremely condescending and rude. He could have just said that they "dont offer the discount" instead, I got a ten minute lecture on why military members dont deserve a discount.... "Poor people or the indigent are more deserving (than military) of a ten percent discount, what about that demographic?" yes, this person actually said that. Geez.....!

I usually love Home Depot! But I am very disappointed!! I purchased a water heater and had it installed it started at 744.00 for the water heater and install! The fact that it was an elevated area I knew I was going to be charged an extra 125.00 for labor and than possibly a little more to bring it up to code! That brought my purchase up to 1349.00 !! I had to have that water heater installed yesterday as my mom passed away 5 months ago and we are selling her house and closing next week! I sat and thought about how I felt totally taken advantage of for 1.5 hours of labor!! Basically I paid 411.00 for the water heater and almost 1000.00 dollars in parts and labor! I am very very disappointed with this!!!! If I had not needed it so bad I would have refused service!

I love Home Depot. Its one of the few stores that accepts PayPal even for in store items as long as you pay online. Also they have a large variety of items online that you cant find everywhere. Last year I bought a beautiful life like Christmas tree after the holiday and it was normally almost $300. I got it for $79 online. But you have to be fast because that stuff sells out quick. I also like their in house selection of carpeting and appliances. Over all you can get just about anything at Home Depot.
