My experience at the so called cute little cake Shop in Strongsville, OH. Saturday March 4th 2017 about 3pm one hour before close. I had to put 1 star so I could post this. I walked in this cake shop and ask if they made wedding cakes. The two woman at the counter said yes, so I proceeded with questions. I showed them a picture of a 3 tear cake on my phone. The one woman who was helping me took the picture in the back to show some guy to see if they could make a cake like the one I had in the picture. Meanwhile the other girl is telling me while Im waiting that they only do two tear cakes there and they cant do the flowers that were on the cake I showed them either. At the same time she is telling me this I hear this loud mouth guy in the back talking to the other woman who had my phone with the picture of the cake basically saying no no we dont do that. Now Im hearing from the girl that was with me after I showed her the picture on my phone already that they dont do this kind of thing and the guy in the back with the loud mouth saying no. Ok so why was I told when I walked in that they did make wedding cakes. Maybe they only make wedding cakes that feed the bride and groom. One last note while all this was going on a couple walked in with there two kids and asked the same woman that was talking to me while I was waiting if her kids could make there own cupcakes there. She was of course told no and the woman with her kids was just as dumbfounded as I was. The mom then told the employee that was helping me, but I saw you guys did this on the news. The employee then said oh well that was an old airing on the news and that they called the news plenty of times about taking that off the air. REALLY! REALLY! After her first response to the mom was we dont do that here. I felt like we were all being rushed out by the one employee just as soon as we walked in. This place should be call The Crappie little Fake Shop. I will never go back here and would never recommend that anyone does. Go right up the street to market district gaint eagle bakery or Michelangelos. Bad customer service to. Im surprised this place is still open. 0 stars for me.

I just received my vegan cupcakes in a jar today. I got vanilla cookie dough and vanilla coconut. The cookie dough topping was very good and tasted like actual cookie dough, and the vanilla coconut frosting was also super good! The cake itself was really dry and crumbly. Even though theyre vegan, there are tons of ways to pack moisture into cake without using eggs and milk, so that was a little disappointing. They were shipped to me in Maryland from Ohio and took about two days. The packaging was super cute! They were in a little pink box with fun confetti strips, and the jars themselves were decorated with a cute little bow. The box was inside an aluminum package with three or four small ice packs, and then placed inside a cardboard box. Since shipping took two days and its been hot lately, the ice packs were completely melted and everything inside was hot. Its a good thing my cupcakes were vegan and didnt contain milk or eggs because I definitely think they would have spoiled. It would have been smarter to package them with some styrofoam and larger ice packs for such a long journey. My only other complaint would be the customer service. Luckily I didnt actually need to contact the shop for any reason because whoever is in charge of responding to customer reviews sounds nasty, petty, sarcastic, and all around just plain rude. Nothing worse than a prideful person who has no respect for those of us who hold their livelyhood in our hands. Its a shame I read the reviews AFTER placing my order or I probably would have gone somewhere else. Humility goes a long way in the world of customer service, my friend. I want to give this shop a 2.5 rating because I dont think it quite deserves a 3, but doesnt exactly deserve just a 2 either. Unfortunately I cant do that, so because my complaints stretch further than my compliments Im going to have to stick with a rating of 2 stars.

First time visiting this location was a few years ago and the cake balls were amazing. Very flavorful and you were able to distinguish flavors and varieties. I was in the area the other day and stopped in and bought some cake balls. It was mid afternoon and their werent many varieties to choose from. Once I picked my selection they were piled on top of each other in a bag. Once I had gotten them home, some of the toppings and decoration fell off. I remembered them being boxed my last visit. The cake balls tasted like they were old and had no distinct flavors to each one. I was very disappointed.

If you ant to stop here and buy a cake ball or two, maybe this is the place for you, but they are not accommodating for weddings at all. They told me to just come in and buy whatever cupcake I would like to try for my wedding, I did, and there were 2 undesirable cupcakes left from the day. When I inquired about purchasing a sample box ( which other bakeries offer) they said again, I can just buy the cupcakes they have that day, which changes day to day. I dont know how they have such a high score on the knot. There are many bakeries with better customer service.

To be fair, its been a few months since Ive been to this establishment. I used to live in strongsville and would visit periodically. I am not going to speak poorly of the food quality, but did feel compelled to encourage the "owner" who is posting responses to customers honest feedback, be mindful of your belligerent tone. As a consumer, its the disrespectful responses that will keep me from being a loyal patron, not a 1 star review. Perception is reality in the world of customer service. Instead of berating your customers, you should try to listen to them.

Food is ok but nothing to write home about. Looks great but flops in taste in my opinion. My biggest complaint is the owner. She is to say the least spiteful to employees and what Im presuming to be a salesman or some kind of business professional, this happened twice while I was in there. I worked in Strongsville so it was convenient. But because of how she treats others, I wont be back because of this. I feel terrible for the high school girl that was working behind the counter. Nobody deserves to be berated like that.

The Cute Little Cake Shop and Janet were a breeze to work with in planning our wedding cupcakes. She is a complete professional and her cupcakes are not only delicious, but nicely presented. We met with her for a tasting and picked out our flavors. She was easy to get a hold of after that when we needed to add more cupcakes to our order. She also came on-site to our venue and set everything up beautifully. If you want one less detail to worry about for your wedding, I would definitely recommend giving the shop a call!
