Keiths Saddle Shop has very poor customer service. I have shopped at this store for the last couple of years for western wear and boots. They do have a nice selection of merchandise, however I do not feel that they back there merchandise with customer satisfaction. I purchased a $65 pair of Dingo boots for my 3 year old daughter for a vacation we took to a dude ranch in Colorado. After wearing the boots only twice, the soles on both shoes completely came apart from the boots and we had to glue them in hopes that she could at least continue to wear them. She complained that they were uncomfortable, so she had to wear her tennis shoes for the rest of the week. When I returned from our trip, I promptly returned them to the store and requested a refund. I was told by the store manager that they could not do this and my only option was to exchange them for another pair of boots. I told her that I only needed them for the vacation and she tried to convince me that they were in-style. If I had wanted a pair of "fashionable" cowboy boots, I would have spent a lot less money on something from Target. I purchased these for her to ride in for our vacation. I asked to speak to the owner of the store and she said he was not available. I was very frustrated because I had driven 30 minutes to this store and my only option was to exchange the pair of boots (that I no longer needed) for another pair for my daughter. Feeling like I had been backed into a corner and that I had done something wrong, I asked for a store credit to use for a future pair. The store manager would not do that either. She finally "did me a favor" by allowing me to use them toward a purchase of boots for myself (which I wasnt completely ready to make at that time). When I asked it I could exchange them toward a pair for me, she said "well, I would be crossing the line, but if you get them today we can allow that"...come-on, seriously, I had to spend another $65 since adult boots cost more money. She then proceeded to tell me how much they disliked dealing with vendors on defective boots...really...whose problem is this. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE...WILL NOT SHOP HERE AGAIN!

I would first like to start off my saying that i have been to Keith Saddle shop several times throughout 10 years and i think it has always been well organized and appealing. They have a lot of different things. But this past week i went in there and i think that, that will be the last time i do business with Keith saddle shop. I have always felt this, but I’m finally letting it be known. I feel like every time i go in there they stalk me to make sure I’m not stealing and i have NEVER stole or gave the impression that i was stealing anything. It just seems like the only reason they come up to you, is not really to ask you if you need assistance, but more so to make sure you aren’t stealing anything. You can just see em leering at you over the tops of the racks. Not only that, but this most recent time i went in, i got an unpleasant vibe and attitude from one of the employees. Her name was Serena. I was upstairs looking at tack and she came all the way upstairs, checked on me and then went back down stairs. What the heak! I shouldn’t have to feel like a criminal when i step foot in the darn place. The second time she came back up, i asked her if there was more of a particular item somewhere else and she was like.. "uhhh Whats thaat? Don’t you mean a buck strap??" In a real condescending way... like she didn’t know what i was talking about. I looked up what they were really called and i wasn’t calling them the wrong name, they have more than one name. If i say back cinch for western saddle" You could probably assume what i meant... but she acted like i was an idiot. It was just the unfriendly/unwelcoming vibe she gave off ... and i was totally polite to her. The people in there don’t always seem very personable but the one lady helping me choose a paste was pleasant. Keith saddle shop is just a reminder of why i shop online. Besides... i know i can find any one of those items in that store, online, for cheaper. And that’s all i got to say about that.

Been to three "western" stores this week to outfit myself with a new wardrobe, and this was the best experience. In minutes I had a stack of jeans in my hard-to-find size, from a wall--an entire wall--of cowboy cut Wranglers. Less than 10 minutes later I was in a pair of Laredo boots, the exact ones I wanted, for $40 less than at another western store in the area. The salesperson kept apologizing because their stock was low while they were set up at the Quarter Horse Nationals at the fairgrounds, but to me, the store was packed and I sure didnt have any problem getting everything I came for. Ill have to go back sometime and see it when its got all that other stuff, too! Pleasant, fast, good prices, in and out quick and easy. And unlike the other two "citified" places, this one still smelled of good leather saddles and tack, which really brought back the memories--not like canned potpourri spray.

I take my 12 year old daughter here to shop for her boots and english riding apparel. I dont like to smoke with her in the car, but I feel comfortable enough lighting up when we arrive and letting her walk in on her own. I already know shell be getting nothing less then fantastic customer service by the time I finish and make my way inside, and in the half a dozen or so times weve been there, they havent failed me yet. Weve been to a few other places around Columbus as well, but I honestly have yet to find one where the employees are as kind and helpful then the ones you will find at Keiths. Their selection of both English and Western boots is incredible.

I have shopped Keith Saddle Shop a few times in the past and was reminded today why I continue doing business at my local small town shops. The service was incredible. My wife was shopping for her first pair of boots. Several employees gave came by asking if they could help and and made suggestions on product that might meet her needs. The selection was wonderful, the prices were great but the service made the trip worth it. As it ended up, she found her first pair of boots and I wound up finding a pair for myself. Just another reason to not have to go into the city. Dont change a thing guys!

Customer service is horrible. They have a decent selection for English riding boots but when it comes to helping you pick out the right size, theyre not helpful. The girl that helped me was rude and acted as though I was inconveniencing her by having her pull a couple sizes from the back. She wasnt knowledgeable about the products, and the eye rolling was pretty excessive and unnecessary. Do yourself a huge favor and go to Equus Now- better selection and better deals.
