If you like to shop at Giant Eagle in Medina you better get ready to be frustrated. The quality of products is still very good (its more expensive too) however the service at GE in Medina is serious lacking. A few months back they replaced a lot of the registers with self-checkout stations, theres only 6 full service registers left. This means that you now have to scan and pack your own groceries, whats really bad is that more people now require assistance and theres only one person to deal with all the blinking lights. Also they "reorganized" the store and theres only a few young kids now (filling shelves) who absolutely are no help helping to find a particular product.. All this deserves a big thumbs down! I recommend Beuhlers next door where the selection might not be as great however they have perfect service, same quality and similar pricing.

Giant Eagle is a great place to get variety in all grocery items, at least compared to the discount chains, but the cost of shopping there is high. I always laugh a little when i see their employees shopping at other stores to save money instead of buying where they work. Still, i shop here for odds and ends i cant find elsewhere.

Their pharmacy seemed to have improved with the new team members there. I hated going there in the past, being ignored, rushed. Marlene was the worst. They also refused to work with discount RX cards claiming they "dont work" and pretend to call in on them. Lazy.... , but Im seeing some improvement.

Wide variety - items I cant get anywhere else. Produce is usually very good, and their customer service is wonderful when things are less than ideal - we got a cup of pomegranate arils to snack on and they were past their prime - they refunded our money with no trouble.

I dont do all my shopping at giant eagle because of the higher prices on just about everything. If I have a choice I will shop at Wal-Mart or Marcs and save money!! Your sale prices are other stores regular prices and thats sad because, I used to only shop giant eagle.

They have everything you need. The only problem Ive noticed is they need more check out lanes open on the weekend during prime shopping times 12:00pm to 3:00pm. Sometimes it may take 30min to get through the check out. If this was fixed I would give it 5 stars.

If you plan to go for a flu shot be prepared to wait. Went to the Medina OH store and with no one in line it took about 30 minutes to get the shot. Six to seven people were running around behind the counter looking like they did not know what they were doing.

Never get your Leather cleaned here...the district manager was not helpful and charged me $70 for ruining my coat. Avoid the hassle...i go to a family business now, but im out of a good leather coat and $70 for the other coat they held hostage

I love this giant eagle!! it has everything I need. one stop! flowers, meat, bakery, grocery, prepared foods, medication, gift cards, etc. and I earn my perks towards my gas!! love those specials!! and weekends has wine tasting area.

Only pharmacy I use !! Diana one of the ladys that works in the pharmacy just called me to make sure I was feeling better because I recently had to get antibiotics for a virus I just had . Very caring !

Prices for groceries and other items are way too expensive anymore...one small bag of mothers day cards and yogurt/chicken nuggets for the daughter = $75! Ill most likely shop elsewhere from now on...

Lots of selection, but not always the cheapest. Good wine, seafood, and bakery. Fuel perks are nice too. Large layout can make it difficult to track down a specific item, but still worth the trip.
