I ordered two used wheels. When they arrived, I had them mounted on the car. From the beginning they wouldnt hold air. The same trouble I had had with the old rims I took off. I tried refilling the LaPoint rims with air several times. Each time the tires lost all pressure. I e-mailed Cory to advise him what was occuring and that I was going to send the two LaPoint wheels back. No response. A few days later, I sent the wheels back. That next day, I had the old rims machined down and theyve worked perfect ever since. Cory called me the next day. I repeated my story and said I no longer wanted any more wheels. Cory said he would have to "talk to management". Never heard another word from Cory. About two days later, the two wheels were back on my front porch when I got home. I wrote Greg LaPoint, president of LaPoint and I told him of my experience and asked him to call me at a given number so we could work something out on my refund. His company sold me defective wheels and I had NTB here in town to back me up and I was owed a refund. Again, no response. A couple days later, I sent the wheels back to LaPoint again. A couple days later, they sent the wheels back to me but this time I was home and I rejected their delivery and notified FedEx not to bring anything from LaPoint to my door. Ive filed a complaint with the Attorney Generals Office. Ive filed a "dispute" with Visa. This is no way to do business and everyone should be aware of the unethical way they conduct their business. Greg LaPoint has a paragraph about his companys philosophy of doing business. There isnt one smidgeon of reality compared to actual day to day treatment of their customers. These problems start at the top and are how they do business. It is companies like this one that make on-line shopping so risky. Buyer beware.

I was happy to see not only was this place like 5 minutes from my house, but they had a 01 yukon on their lot. I checked their online inventory in the parking lot, I walk in and tell the guy at the counter what im looking for. Now, this is my first time there and I was thinking this was like every other junk yard around but to my surprise, nope........ they pull the part. I tell him im looking for a 3rd brake light, the parts guy proceeds to insist that the light is part of the hatch and it had to be sold as an entire door and he even pulls up a photo on his computer and I insist that it is not......... I would know I tried to change it before looking for a damn part. So he then says well, id have to send someone out to check so I move onto the next item, a door speaker, he said no, he will only sell the entire door. Strike 2, onto my 3rd item, a vent for the a/c/heat. Before I can even finish, he says just so you know you have to buy the entire dash panel.......Heres where it gets good, he then says, well you have to have a minimum $40 dollar purchase. WTF?????????? Go to hell LaPoint. Keep your worthless inventory. I should of asked around before wasting time going to this crap hole.

Purchased a car door on EBay from Lapoint Discount Auto Parts. Their online sales guy informed me that the car door I purchased from them was damaged in shipment after it left their facility (before it ever reached me). He then informed me that he would not refund my $325.00 until he received the door back from the shipping company. Had I been the one requesting to return the door, I could understand that I would need to wait until he received the door before a refund was issued. However, the door was damaged before it ever reached me. Therefore, I should not have been required to wait for a refund until he received the door back. I had to file a PayPal claim to get my money back. Very disappointing because I was going to buy several other parts they had online. Fortunately, I found another seller who had the door and parts I needed for my car. I actually ended up paying $75 less than what I originally paid Lapoint so it turned out great for me. But the hassle I went through with Lapoint means I will NEVER buy from again.

This review is for a friend. I recently purchased a used motor from Lapoint. I drove from Pittsburgh to pick it up. When I got the motor back to my garage, I found that the oil pan had been punctured with a fist sized hole. I called Cory a couple of hours after I returned home and informed him about the hole and he said he would look into it. Cory called me back a few days later and told me that someone at the yard had must have done the damage, but it was an "as-is" product and a line of B.S. about how I given a deal by not being charged a core charge for the engine (Which the ad had never stated) . So Im out of the tolls, fuel and money for a new oil pan to do business with these people. If I treated my customers like this, I wouldnt be in business.

Bought used transmission from this place ... it was incorrectly advertised and was the wrong part for my car. This was discovered AFTER the transmission was installed = 7 days gone and $450 labor on top of the $700 transmission gone. LaPoint admitted their incorrect advertisement and sent an REPLACEMENT used transmission. The shipment was lost (or they didnt send it when they said they did) but finally arrives 20 days later; it was installed only to find out that THIS transmission has no 3rd gear! Now, LaPoint wont refund my money for the part, wont pay for labor (now $900.00) ... and Ive been out car for a month. They JUST hung up on me when I inquired about my refund! I dont think you want to do business here.

I own a 2002 Chrysler Sebring Convertible. Trànsmission went in car and was going to cost me more than the car was worth to have some one replace it. Came across Lapoint on eBay. Gave them a call. They sent me a transmission from a wreck with 31,000 miles. 125 for the trans and 125 to ship it to me in NJ. Trans was banded to a skid everything sealed and intact.Very fair price I will say. Person on the phone was very nice also. Did the work myself. Car is back on the road running like a champ.Would buy from these guys again in the future. Thank you again.
