Ive been doing business with The Bike Doctor for over ten years. Having purchased over a dozen bikes for my family during this time, Ive felt appreciated by the employees of this shop and the owner with each and every interaction. This team of associates go out of their way to make me happy and I cant say enough good things about them other than "Thank You." As an avid cyclist, I truly appreciate having a shop that offers a competitive price for a sport that has become quite expensive. By comparison, most shops cant be flexible due to the overhead of running a shop in an industry with very little margin. Im bothered by some of the reviews Ive read here. Consider that bike shop employees are low wage earners and are expected to work miracles on a machine that most people dont regularly maintain. Most bike parts are also built fairly cheap in foreign countries and fail often - even on $1,000 bicycles. Shop owners arent rich and famous either. Most earn less than your average fast food store manager ($50k or less), often working 60-70 hours per week out of their labor of love. Its shops like this one that give you and your families access to quality bikes youd otherwise have to drive miles to see - and without doubt, pay for. Do your local shop a favor and be nice. Theyre trying to earn a living just like you. Having a bike that cant be fixed or leaving your personal belongings in a store while ridiculing the guy making $9 an hour whos trying to feed their family, then venting on Google makes it harder for reasonable people like me to have access to good people like this. This isnt a paid advertisement nor do I work for the shop... Im simply trying to provide rationale feedback in support of a business thats become like family to my family.

TERRIBLE customer service!! Bike Doctor may be the only bike shop in Heath, but its well worth the additional drive to any other bike shop that actually cares about their customers. I spent the past week shopping for a new bicycle and test rode bicycles at four different shops, including Bike Doctor. Only Bike Doctor required that I leave my driver license with them in order to test ride their bike, and after the test ride they did not return my ID to me. When I discovered it missing two days later at an appointment in Columbus, I had to drive 60 minutes back to Heath to pick it up and another 60 minutes back to my appointment in Columbus. When I explained this to the employee at Bike Doctor, his initial response was, "Whatever." No apology whatsoever. When I responded in frustration, he called me an ***hole and then said, and I quote, "Its your own stupid fault." This when I had considered buying a bicycle from them just two days earlier. I have found several bike shops a few minutes further down the road towards Columbus where the employees truly care about their customers and are committed to quality service. Steer clear of Bike Doctor!!

HORRIBLE, TOOK MY BIKE IN FOR A REAR DERAILLEUR CABLE AND ADJUSTMENT, ON PICK UP I TEST DROVE IT, THE DERAILLEUR WAS NOT ADJUSTED CORRECTLY, TOLD THE GUY WORKING, SHAWN, WHO I BELIEVE IS THE OWNER, HE PUT IT BACK ON THE RACK ATTEMPTED A QUICK ADJUSTMENT WITH THE BARREL SCREW, THEN RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME BEGAN TO BEND MY DERAILLEUR, AND CLAIMED TO BE TWEAKING IT, THEN CLAIMED THERE WASNT MUCH MORE HE COULD DO WITH OUT REPLACING THE DERAILLEUR. WOW! AFTER TAKING THE BIKE HOME BENDING MY DERAILLEUR BACK INTO PLACE(WHICH IS ONLY ABOUT 2 YEARS OLD), ILL ADJUST IT MY SELF(TWO LITTLE SCREWS SMDH) $15 DOLLARS DOWN THE DRAIN, AND THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IVE EVER SEEN! AND I DONT OWN A BIKE SHOP IE. I AM NOT THEIR COMPETITION, JUST A GUY WHO WAS TAKING ADVANTAGE OF, THANKS DOC!

The dude that gave the Bike Doctor a bad review must have been undercover from another bike shop. I have been dealing with The Bike Doctor for fifteen years. He and his help have always been polite, knowledgeable, helpful and honest. They go the extra mile to help you find exactly what you are looking for and by far at the best price. I travel all over the U.S. mountain biking and occasionally have to buy parts or rent a bike for a visiting friend. No shop Ive ever been to even comes close to the service and price that I regularly experience with the Bike Doctor. And as far as giving your license when you demo a bike...I have news for him, its common practice. So he walked out without his license? And who had his head up his Butt? Bob

I have personally purchased 4 bikes from the Bike Doctor and really appreciated the sales teams assistance. They do not try to sell you more bike than you need and even switched the free wheel to a regular back wheel on my sons bike as he could not use the handle brake with his small hands. They also switched it back again for a nominal fee when he was ready for it. They do remind you of essentials such as helmets and water bottles without trying to sell you unnecessary items. I have also had my bikes serviced at Bike Doctor and the service was excellent and the rate was very reasonable. I would encourage anyone to make the drive from Columbus as I did to get the bike you want and desire for a good price and excellent service.

In a day when most people buy a bike without the thought of quality or customer service from a big box retailer, the The Bike Doctor stands out. Wal mart is not going to adjust your bike next spring. They hope your purchase was a hunk of junk and you have to come back to buy another. The Bike Doctor will help you get the bike you want. One that fits you & your style, and will last you for years to come. And if you do have any problems or need a quick fix or adjustment, they are always there to help. I wish I had been directed to the Bike Doctor before I spent thousands on several bikes at the Columbus bike shops. The folks at the Bike Doctor are knowledgable, helpful, and just plain friendly. They are my first stop whenever I am looking for anything for my bikes and I will definitely by my next bike there. Their service rates are the best Ive seen and they do great work.

Got a bike from the Bike Doctor and it turned out that the free wheel was defective because an error because of the way the factory installed that part. I took it the bike back to the shop and i was extremely surprised by how well they worked with me to resolve the problem. They will see me in there shop again! Great people and i would recommend anyone to go there!

I came into the store looking to upgrade my bike. Shawn, the owner, was excellent to work with and was very honest. He told me some things that I needed and some things that I did not need, which I appreciate. I wound up buying a new Specialized bike. Fits perfect and rides great. Highly recommended.
