We had one of the worst and scary experiences at this Petsmart. We had been planning on going camping in the near future and had been planning on using a campground that requires that your dog has proof that its had its rabies shots. So rather than going to my mother in laws vet who was a farther drive, we opted to take our pets to this petsmart location. We fully regret this decision. When we arrived after a long wait we were asked to bring our girls back and they were examined and declared very healthy. But the vet began pressuring us to get services and treatments that we did not want or need. We told them we only had money for the shots that we came for, but they began trying to instill fear into us about the consequence of not getting all of the shots and treatments. I tried to tell her that even if I did get these additional unnecessary things it would not be today and that we didnt think it would be good for a three pound chihuahuas liver to get a bunch of toxins dumped into it all at once. As the visit went on the vet became more frustrated and acted like a bully. We decided we didnt feel right staying and wanted to take our dogs to another vet. When the vet heard me say this she threatened us that if we didnt get the shots right then, right there, right now under her care that she was going to take action to have our dogs taken away. We were shocked. We could not understand her manipulative bullying behavior as we brought our dogs in under our own care and fruition and were simply going to leave and take them to another vet so that we could get the services we needed to take our dogs camping. Why did she care if we left? She herself said that our dogs were in great health. Why the power trip? Why the escalation? Just let it go. What was wrong with her? She seemed angry simply because we were so protective over our babies and didnt want them in her care anymore. Well, Sorry to offend. Pffff So because we were terrified she was going to do just what she threatened to do, which was take some sort of action to have our girls taken away from us. I assume it would in involve some sort of lie. She acted VERY confident in her ability to do this. We were convinced we had no choice but to allowed her to give our dogs the shots we came for, but nothing else, even though she was still shaking us down for other expenses. We told her that we simply did not have the money. We just wanted out of there as fast as possible and to get away from this maniac who had threatened to take our dogs away. The next day the vet tech that we were working with called us from petsmart during business hours and basically the whole conversation felt like she was trying to feel us out to see if we were going to take some sort of legal action against them. I assume with the vet listening in. We seriously considered it, as this was obviously a further attempt at manipulation. They just wanted reassurance that they had gotten away with it. I recommend that petsmart do an investigation, unless this is how you want your people conducting business.

I rescued a 4 month old pit bull puppy with a lot of energy and no manners. The Bridgewater Falls location is the closest to my home which is still a 35 minute drive. I decided to sign him up for the beginner puppy class since they offered weekend classes. I waited 2 weeks for the class to start. You have to pay for the classes in advance. The day of the first class I drove the 35 minutes to get there only to learn the class had been cancelled. I was the only one who signed my dog up for that class. I did not get a phone call that class was cancelled. The trainer told me the next class would start in 2 weeks. I asked the trainer if she could at least give me some instructions on simple commands. She had a sprained ankle and acted like she really just wanted me to leave and come back in 2 weeks. I insisted on some guidance so I could start trying to work with my puppy. She talked with me and showed me a couple of simple commands. The class is supposed to start this Sunday, but my puppy will not be attending as a result of my next issue with this PetSmart. I called and scheduled a puppy bath for my dog (only because I was suckered into buying a coupon book for $19.99 at the front register) and his appointment was today. When I scheduled the appointment the person making the appointment asked me his age. I told her he was a rescue and they told me he was 4 months old when I got him. I have had him for 3 weeks so he is about a week from being 5 months old. The girl told me that at 5 months they asked to see their rabies vaccine record. I told her that he has a vet appointment to get it done later on in the afternoon (the same day as the scheduled puppy bath). She told me that would be fine since he is not 5 months old yet. So, I drove the 35 minute drive once more (shot records in hand, but no rabies vaccine yet). I get there and I am told that they cannot bathe him because he has to have his rabies vaccine record. I explained what the girl on the phone told me. It didnt matter, they would not bathe him. They told me that at 5 months they have to see the rabies vaccine record. I told them that he was not 5 months yet and that he would get the shot today. They told me to bring him back afterwards. Needless to say, I asked for a store manager and I got a refund on the training and I will never step foot into this store again. I tried to give this PetSmart no stars, but I had to give it at least one to be able to post my review.

This place is horrible!! Service is terrible and the employees are ignorant!! They sold us a puppy that had kennel cough and I brought the pup home he made my other dog sick. Now I have a vet bill for my dog that I want them to pay but the owner who also is rude as hell is not returning calls. Needless to say I took the puppy back and got a refund. People need to know that if they are spending large amounts of money on animals the place should be kept very clean and sanitized for these pups and it must not be. I noticed other pups in there with the same cough and pointed it out to the manager he said nothing!! I never should have spent my money in there anyway the staff made me wait 30 min to see a puppy and they werent busy at all very rude. I asked to see the pup and the girl said it will be a few minutes and turned around and started talking to someone else so I waited for another girl to come out to help us she was the only nice one her name was Danielle. Please dont spend your money there go to a reputable breeder to get quality because you will be paying over $1000 for your new pup anyway!! Buyers Beware!!
