Im not one to leave reviews or make complaints, especially negative ones, but I had an extremely uncomfortable and disheartening experience with an employee at this Meijer store. I was treated very poorly and harassed for sampling a travel-sized dry shampoo.. I was not aware that sampling a product was not allowed. I probably came into this store every other night after work to run errands. The few times when I tested a product nothing was ever said to me. So how was I to know? If he didnt want me to try the product he should have approached the situation in a completely different manner. He should not have shamed, insulted, and attacked me - which he did. I have tried several times to talk to Meijer about my experience, but they do not seem to care at all. I talked to the manager on duty the night of the incident. He was understanding and kind. He was the only person throughout this entire time who showed any type of concern. I followed up with Meijer corp a couple days later, maybe a week, and I was told that "they were very sorry and would handle the situation." They asked for my contact information and said they would get back to me. I never heard anything. Not even a confirmation email. I waited another week and called the store directly. Who ever was in charge at the time made it sound like they never heard anything from corporate about my complaint/incident. He said that they would look into it and he would forward this to the store director. Once again, I was asked for my information and was told I would definitely be contacted this time around. Still have not been contacted. No surprise though. Bad communication and customer service in general. All I wanted was for the issue to be addressed to the employee and to the store. That employee can not be treating customers the way he does. I have a friend that works at this store and apparently he does things like this quite often, not only to other customers but to fellow coworkers as well. That should not be acceptable or tolerable! That is not how you treat a human being. That is not how you represent a company. Just horrible customer service all around. My intentions were never to get this man fired. I just want him to be held accountable for his actions and behavior. I am a college aged student. I have a level of maturity and a common sense of how to act in public. I was not being a nuisance or disruptive. I did nothing in order to receive the treatment I received. I didnt even interact with this man until he initiated everything. The whole thing took me by surprise. I was shocked. My response to him could have been handled differently myself, but then again he could have done the same. The whole thing should have never even happened in the first place. It felt very personal.. I dont know if he is ageist or homophobic, but if this is the kind of service and behavior that Meijer stands by then that speaks huge volumes. I dont feel comfortable shopping at this store anymore. Its a shame because there was such a great selection of health and beauty products. I plan on leaving this comment in a couple different places in hope that this matter gets resolved, Meijer.

I shop here regularly, but I am really grossed out by the lack of attention employees are paying to the food in the deli refrigeration area. I bought two take and bake pizzas (both had stickers indicating they were not past their expiration date) and one of them had rotten pepperoni on half of the pizza. I returned it for a different one, and I just opened it, and AGAIN it had rotten pepperoni on half of the pizza. This is totally unacceptable, someone is going to get really sick. Id also like to add that Meiejr used to have 5% off total grocery purchase deals for mperks every now and then. This really helped me out financially. But now they only have the coupon deals for general merchandise and apparel. They also made the rewards, for spending a certain amount on groceries, from $5 to $2. Its this kind of penny pinching that makes me want to do my shopping at Kroger. Its much closer to me anyway.

Ordered a cake 3 weeks ago for my son and when I went to pick it up it wasnt ready. All the info that Id given Misty was taken down wrong and I quickly realized that she was not the regular cake staff. When I asked to speak to Misty I was told that she was on lunch. FUMING, i finished my shopping I went back an hour later and when I asked again they told me that she still hadnt returned. HOW LONG A LUNCH DO YOU NEED? The girls in the bakery were nice and fixed my cake up quick. Ive never had a bad experience here which is why this put such a bad taste in my mouth. I hope that this bad egg doesnt spread to rest of the staff. RETRAIN PLEASE

Nice store that provides a wide selection of products. The Meijer brand offers some good quality items, that are on the same level with name brands. This store has a large selection of pet products, if you are looking for a good quality, inexpensive pet bed, this store has a good selection of types and sizes. The grocery store offers a much wider selection than nearby competitors, they have a nice beer and wine section that has a lot of good choices. There are also wacky and exotic fruits and vegetables that I had never seen and will probably never understand. Fresh donuts in the bakery too!

Great produce and meats section with competitive pricing. You can usually find anything you that you could find in a typical grocery store. They also have a beer and wine section. I prefer it over the Walmart super center off of Pentagon Blvd in terms of produce, although pricing is slightly more expensive. Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable of the entire stores catalogue. The store is also intelligently laid out making it easy to find what youre looking for. One of the better "but anything" stores around.

Clean, big, and well stocked location. Puts the other Meijers to shame. This has got to be one of their flagship stores. I went in to use the bathroom (decent, but not the best) and to get something to drink before a long drive. The staff were friendly and I found what I was looking for and was out the door in record time. As I was perusing the beverages, I counted 15 types of iced tea! I found the one I was looking for and checked out with one of the many self-check stations. 2 June 2017

Im not really big on grocery supermarket chains but the 24-hour availability and sheer size (and items in stock) of this store make it nice. Never had any issues shopping here but I typically go late when I need something. The only thing that would be nice is if they would keep both sides of checkout running. Most of the time only the grocery side is running late night which makes for a lot more walking than what having both sides going would require (depending on where you parked).

Stopped in earlier this evening to pick up some things for Thanksgiving and couldnt find a couple of items. Two store employees went above and beyond to help us find them--one of them even tracked us down at the cash register with a handful of things I was looking for. I wish I knew their names, but if their manager reads this, they were stocking shelves in the canned fruits and vegetables aisle around eight oclock in the evening on 11/20. Great service! Many thanks to them.
