(edit: Changed my rating from 4 to 5 stars after further contemplation. Time is a great salve, and the treatment I received from literally everybody else was fantastic! Ill leave the entirety of my original review for consideration.) SALES: Rob Donkelaar was great! Best car buying experience Ive ever had. He took the time to build the relationship in a low-pressure way, and really worked for me - right down to allowing an overnight test, and having loan paperwork already printed when I came back in to close the deal (hate that part the most!). I probably wasnt the easiest of customers for him, as we worked out the majority of the deal via email, as I was working. He showed tremendous patience, and I felt very valued. MANAGEMENT: My trade was fully paid off, but since the bank issued an e-title, it wasnt in my possession. The gentlemen at the desk put my mind at ease very quickly with their knowledge of the procedure and took care of everything, so I didnt have to. In 2009, this location wouldnt give me the time of day (I walked in, in shorts and a t-shirt. Seemed put out. Ended up buying from a competitor that day), but the new owners have really turned it around. FINANCE: Austin, the finance manager, while very personable to me, was a little aggressive and insulting when pushing the extended warranty ("...Thats OK, if I was buying a car with 15,000 moving parts, I wouldnt want to protect it either.") which doesnt resonate well with me...at all. I guess thats the finance guys job. He also came off as impatient and condescending to my wife (in her perception) when she came in to sign the paperwork and had a couple questions. Otherwise it would have been a 5-star overall experience. (see above edit) SERVICE: The day after, my check engine light came on. I was confident it was nothing, but Derek, the service mgr. got me right in, confirmed it was a small issue, and right out again, after taking the time to fully explain the issue. Very professional! Top to bottom, kudos to the whole store. Youve not only won my future business, but my recommendation to others!

I have never had an easier car buying experience then I did with Performance! My husband and I walked in with our 2 small children, looking for a minivan. From the moment we walked in, we had friendly and personable people talking with us. Our salesman Rob was amazing. He listened to our needs and wants, and pulled a van down that met those needs right away. He even helped me to see if our double stroller would fit in the back. Anything we asked about, he had an answer too, or got us an answer right away. We did not end up buying the van that night due to an accident our daughter had, but he followed up with us the next day. I was sure that he was going to talk about the van, and try to make the sale. NO, his only concern was if our daughter was ok. The sales manager Brian also called to check on her. When we came back into the dealership, everyone was asking how she was. Before we even went into finance, the finance gentleman Austin wanted to check on how our daughter was also. That right there told me everything I needed to know, to buy the van. They care about the people they are selling the vehicles too. As most of us know, when you walk into a dealership you get the feeling of buy or get out. Not performance. They want to help you get what you want and need. They appreciate their customers, and really work to get you the best deal. We are very pleased with our van, and even more with Performance. Truly a great addition to Delaware, I hope they stay for a long time. We will be back :)

Stopped by this dealer to look into trading my SUV in for a Charger or a Grand Cherokee. The sale rep was very nice. Showed my wife a Grand Cherokee. Talk to her about all the features and how they worked. I was wait to look at the Charge and hear about it. Go inside and set down. Start giving information for the credit app and on my trade in. My trade is a fully loaded 2008 Escalade with 67k miles. We gave all these information and the sales person was only talking about the Cherokee. I ask a few time to look at a Charger. I had to walk over to the car by my self to look at it. I do my research be for I walk into a dealership. I know what my trade in is worth before I walk in. I was giving such a low ball offer. I was so disgusted I didnt even say anything at first. I just got up to leave. The sale rep was still talking to my wife as we were getting up. I told him "That was such a low ball offer. I know what my truck is worth". Then Im told "Well we have to go with what they are selling at auction. I case we cant sell it and have to take to auction". Im sorry but if you cant sell a fully load 2008 Escalade with less the 100k mile on it, you should be selling cars. I went to another dealership and they offered me $500 over what my truck is wroth. I didnt even have to negotiate. I am going in to fill out the paper work tomorrow and picking up my new 2015 Charger. I would recommend doing what I did for year and just drive by this dealership. It is not worth the time. Go somewhere else.

Would not leave me alone. I scheduled a test drive online with Connie C who told me to ask for the manager and tell them she sent me. On my way to the dealership I got a call from Rob and I had to explain the situation. When I got to the dealership I was told Connie worked in some Business Development department in some other city, but hed set me up with Theresa to have me test drive the vehicle. While test driving the vehicle I got a call from Mercedes. (I didnt answer this call because I was test driving a new vehicle.) The next morning I got another call from Mercedes and I explained I didnt want to be contacted again. Later that day I got a call from Megan (in customer service) who was following up with bad information. I explained, again, that I didnt want to be contacted and either change my phone number or put me on a do not call list. That evening I got yet another call from Megan who was confirming my appointment on Connies behalf for tomorrow: wrong, again. I asked to speak with a manager and got Matt, who ultimately hung up on me when I told him I was extremely irritated. He explained that I mustve been in the system twice and thats why customer service called me twice. When I tried to give him this entire story, he hung up on me. Do not use these people and by no means give them your phone number - apparently, theyll NEVER leave your alone.

Sean Webb did a great job working with us for a trade-in/sale of a used car. He was professional, kind, funny and not at all pushy. If you want a great experience buying a car, go here and ask for Sean. The vehicle I purchased was advertised as having navigation. It did not. The dealership found a way to install navigation for which I paid a significant amount of money. I was told that it would be four days to get the parts. It was 11 days. I was asked to bring the vehicle back so that it could be installed. I did so. They kindly gave me a loaner car and told me my vehicle would be ready the following day. The next afternoon I get a call saying that not only was it not done but it couldnt be done until the next week. I would have to bring my vehicle back again and get another loaner the following Monday. Waiting to see if that will work out. Meanwhile I inadvertently left my garage opener in the rental car. When I returned one hour later to get the remote the car was already gone to someone else. I was told it would be back the following night (tonight). I just called and not only is the car not back, they dont know when its coming back. I understand that issues happen, but its horrible and inaccurate communication that I cannot stand. Downgrading my review from five stars to three.
