Dishonest, old-school used car sales--the only thing missing is the pinky ring. In short, we had our time wasted and were lied to. We interacted with Shawn Heald who had a pleasant demeanor, so I guess he just screwed us over with a smile on his face. He either had us test driving a car that was already sold after someone put a deposit on it, or for some reason agreed to a sale with us and then changed his mind because he thought he could get more money from someone else. Regardless of the reason, we ended up wasting hours of time we dont have because Nissan Norths games. After viewing their online active listings and favorable online reviews, we went to go test drive a few cars in the middle of the week. We couldnt find the first car on our list in the lot, so Shawn went hunting around for it. After claiming that it was out of view because a guy drove all the way from Indianapolis to buy it, but his financing wasnt secured, he also claimed the scratch contractor was doing some work on it. In any case, Shawn produced the car and offered it for a test drive. The car had its fair share of scratches on the body and the interior was pretty wrecked with staining. One of the tabs securing the bumper was broken and the left rear brake light casing was shattered. Shawn boasted that Nissan North would never sell the car in this condition and that everything would be fixed before a sale. Thats an odd statement because the car had been posted on their website for almost a month and they hadnt bothered to fix anything. I guess they dont expect to sell their cars when they post the up on the website. We took the car for a test drive and all went well. We were uneasy with putting money down on a car before any promised fixes were made and worried the car might have other problems that we couldnt see. We discussed it, and decided that we couldnt buy the car unless they took money off. Shawn said they couldnt and so we left since we had been there almost two hours. So far, there are no real problems with any of this process. I get a call back from Shawn on Friday just before they close to touch base. I reiterate our concerns and he says theres a different manager working that day and hed talk to him and call me back. He calls me back and explains that theyll take money off with the usual song and dance about how he doesnt know why his manager is agreeing to this because theyll lose money, etc... We agree to the sale and I offer to go in that evening. He says no because theyre closing in a half hour and for me not to worry because I can be the first one in on Saturday morning. Saturday morning comes and Im out the door when Shawn contacts me to explain that the car was sold and not to come in. Somehow the car was sold between the time they closed on Friday and before they opened on Saturday? He says no and explains that the guy from Indianapolis had put money down on the car and that it was sold, but they made a mistake and didnt take it off the website. ...and two managers, the body work people and a salesperson didnt realize it was sold before I test drove it? If they didnt, thats some serious disorganization. Dishonest. I dont know how they get such a good rating.

I bought a certified pre-owned Nissan Sentra from Nissan North approximately 8 months ago. The experience itself was okay, no complaints. I have been taking my car to nissan north for the oil changes. During my most recent oil change, i asked them to look at a tire that had been leaking air. On my inspection sheet they noted that it was SUPPOSEDLY leaking air from the rim and just needed to be resealed to the rim. They said it would be $30 to fix it (which i would have paid) but they had no one available to do it that day- id have to make an appointment and come back. I live about 35 minutes away so I decided to have it repaired at the walmart near my house. Walmart took the tire off and said it was in fact NOT leaking from the rim- it was losing air where it had previously been patched. They physically showed me the patch and how the water was bubbling around it. I have never had any of my tires patched since owning the car SO nissan north apparently sold me the car with the patched tire on it. It just so happens Its walmarts policy that they cannot repatch a tire once it has been patched once. I immediately called Nissan North and told them that 1. what they claimed was wrong with my tire was incorrect and 2. asked if they routinely sell certified pre-owned cars with patched tires. The associate told me they will sell the used cars with patched tires if theyre not leaking air when they do the inspections on them prior to selling. OK- So I asked if they can re-patch the tire and he said no- it is also against their policy and that I would need to buy a brand new tire. I explained that it was leaking directly where it was previously patched and he said it was probably because i hit a pothole. I am very disappointed with how this was handled from the get go. They first misdiagnosed the problem with my tire and then refused to fix a bad tire that they sold me the car with! Seriously? If youre going to make a habit out of selling customers used cars with tires that have been patched- at least be willing to remedy problems that will surely arise. I am VERY VERY disappointed and certainly will not be doing any more business with Nissan North.

Purchased a 2007 Saturn sky redline back in January 10, 2015. I had asked the sales person John to help me get the car onto a lift so I can inspect and check for undercarriage damage. It was like pulling teeth the dealer didnt want to do it at first but then decided they will. After many back-and-forth I thought a lot of issues with the car that were not told to me over the phone. The whole driver side was dented up Im assuming because it was stored in a garage and whoever was opening the door was hitting the car. The front lip is all cracked as well as all the plastic pieces underneath by the Pinch welds. The brakes were shot, with a lot of vibration and when at highway speeds the car shook. I talked them down from $15 to $14k, which was still WAY over priced on that car. I was scammed into a tire and wheel warranty by the current finance guy. He kept pestering me to get it and how good it was and that he would drop it from $550ish to at his own cost price (which makes no sense). He lied. He still charged me $398. I recently paid the car off, I went over all the paperwork and just noticed how much he charged me. Confused and upset I called the warranty company right away. They told me that the warranty cannot be cancelled after 30 days. I was never told this. NOT EVER. I was never even given the terms and conditions on the warranty only the contact and coverage info. Manager of dealer, Dan, claims it was given to me as a separate paper, I looked, its no where to be found. I asked the dealer to help and refund me a prorated charge, so Id get a check back for around $320, because its a 5 year warranty. They told me to kick rocks. Wouldnt recommend it and wont ever look here again.
