Highly recommend Stafford over anyone else in Cincinnati. I bought my wifes engagement ring there back in 2011 and remember the experience being phenomenal - plenty of attention and time was given to me to help make things easy and stress-free. Really felt taken care of. This high-class experience was repeated when we bought my wifes wedding ring there the following year. Fast forward a bit...this Friday is my wife and Is 5-year anniversary, and I decided to get her another band to celebrate. We were in town in Cincinnati for a day (having moved to California two years ago), and we made it a point to stop by Stafford to get the ring, as we didnt want to work with anyone else. The experience was again a great one, with the store manager Landon helping us find a great ring for her at a great price, and then going above and beyond in taking it on himself to help me with a totally separate issue related to my own wedding band that I had purchased at another store. Really nice of him to do this as his store didnt really benefit from doing this. Its obvious customer service here is a top priority. Every time we were at Kenwood Mall over the years wed stop by and look around, theyd offer to get her rings cleaned, and just always had a pleasant and accommodating attitude. Overall, highly recommend using Stafford!

I took an $1800 engagement ring in to sell and these crooks didnt know that I knew just what kind of diamond is in the ring. Ive had other jewelers gasp when theyve looked at the rock and say things like, "I bet you paid a pretty penny for that!" First the lady tried to take the ring away where I could not see her or my ring, I stopped her in her tracks! No reputable jeweler would ever do something like that! Thats how the scammers get you. They pop out your good diamond and put in some junk! She took offence when I objected to letting her take it to the "Back room". The then pulled out a calculate, pretended to punch in random numbers (seriously, just like you see in the movies, she totally faked it!) and then offered me $100 for the ring. I then pulled out the sales invoice and the other documentation and showed it to her. She started to then try to spin some lies about no one wants someone elses ring, they have to be reset and blah blah blah. She then offered me $120. When I asked for my ring back she said she could have someone else look at it but I stopped her and told her to give me my ring or the next person she would be talking to would be the Police. She then handed me my ring and I walked out. Never go to these crooks!

This "fine" establishment bought $25,000 + of my mothers jewelry that was stolen. We were fortunate enough to find out where it was sold. Upon arrival they were not helpful nor remorseful the least bit. I have to question any business that accepts tens of thousands of womens jewelry from a man without question. Any one with common sense or morals would question this type of transaction. Not Staffords! All they saw was dollar signs and a way to resale these items with a $20,000 mark up. We ask for the items to purchase them back for the measly $1000 they paid out for them. They informed us that they melt everything down immediately and do not give itemized receipts when they purchase items. Their story just does not add up. The monetary value is one thing but the jewelry with sentimental value from deceased siblings and your children over a lifetime is irreplaceable. If it were anyone else they would be charged with receiving stolen property and a bland Im sorry theres nothing we can do would not suffice. I will never shop here and will make it a point to inform everyone I know that this establishment is beyond crooked! I seriously question how some people can even sleep at night!

Actually, if I could give a negative number I would. I have only been to Staffords twice and I will never return. The first visit was a long time ago. Very poor customer service. The most recent visit was even more disappointing. The clerk acted if I was somehow beneath her and seemed annoyed that she had to stop sitting at her desk when I walked in. I observed other staff working with customers and they werent terribly nice either, but nothing like the girl that waited on me. There are too many other places out there to shop for me to put up with being treated so rudely.

I had an average sales experience purchasing a loose diamond and platinum band separately several years ago. I was not satisfied with the jeweler setting the diamond in the band though. I had to reject the work four times before it was somewhat acceptable. The diamond was set too high, the head was crooked, prongs were not shaped correctly, etc... Even now, the diamond is still not set in the correct manner for the head. I gave up trying to explain even though several drawings were made and the stock photo from the designer was given.

Nick is amazing and such a great person to work with! Its extremely clean, very well priced and they treat you as an individual, not a walking dollar sign like some other places. Hell make sure you get a beautiful piece that is right for you, and knows the business so well! Plus I love that evening is in house, so your ribs will never be sent away. You can spend a pretty penny on jewelry, especially engagement rings etc. If Im going to spend a good amount of money with company, this is the one Id spend it at.

I bought my first engagement diamond from John Stafford in 1998 and it was the perfect diamond. He even designed a one of a kind mounting for it and my wife was so happy to flash it around and gather compliments. Since that time I have bought probably at least 30 different pieces of jewelry of all kinds including expensive watches from Staffords and I have always been treated both fairly and with respect. John Stafford has become my friend and I am proud to call him that.

I needed my wifes ring, that we purchased there, resized. While they resized it, the also destroys the hammered finish and blamed it on age. We purchased mine and hers at the same time so the wear should be the same. I ended up going to the real Stafford Jewelers in Cincinnati, they replaced it at cost. Very bad store unless you are buying 10k or more. Never shop there, take the time and go to the real deal in Cincinnati.

My experience was nothing short of 5 stars. The staff was extremely professional and very easy to work with. I purchased a beautiful diamond engagement ring and stayed within my budget. Nick worked with me through the whole process and was really great at helping me find the best of the best while staying within budget.

We found a wedding band that was half the price here than where we were looking at elsewhere, and it was twice as beautiful. They were also very accommodating when trying to find a band for my fiances huge hands and picky taste. Donna was a great help in finding us what we wanted. We will come here for everything.
