Took my engagement ring that was purchased at The Gem Collection there to inquire of a trade in towards a 2 carat cushion In a similar setting. First problem was the inexperienced young man looked at it briefly and tried to convince my fiancé it was an SI stone. 2nd problem, he was offered an insulting value of $1200. Ok, I have the paperwork and the E.G.L. Certification shows it is a VS1 colorless 1 carat stone valued at $6800. My fiancé was prepared to drop $14,000 on a new ring that day if he was offered a fair price for my beautiful diamond ring. I assume to not "give" them my ring to only turn around to put in their case to resell for over $3800 and then get my fiancé for another $4000 plus in profit on the sell of the new stone. My fiancé is a small business owner here in Tallahassee with deep pockets and hes all about supporting his fellow neighboring business owners as well but now he has a bad taste in his mouth over this ordeal. Figured it must suck that you lost out on a $14,000 sell the first business day of 2016. Wouldve looked great on paper to start out the new year but you wanted to insult a very wealthy man instead.

Dealt with this business before and was satisfied so when I wanted to sell my vintage Rolex, I took it there to see if he was interested. Without more than just glancing at it he equivocally stated that it was a knock-off and offered me its worth for scap gold. I knew otherwise so I took it to both The Gem Collection (official rolex retailer) and Bert Riedel (certified service), who inspected it and confirmed its authenticity. Hes either unknowledgeable or crooked; either way Ill be taking my business somewhere else in the future.

They had a great selection of jewelry. My Fiance bought my ring from here and he said they gave amazing service. He had some idea as to what kind of ring I wanted and with that information, they were able to help find the ring that I adore. Free cleaning came with it and because it was too big, we went back and they recommended someone who gave us a great deal. Definitely going to go back to look at their other stuff!
