I would think twice before spending my money at this Dayton Mall area Best Buy ever again. I walked in, no one ever greeted me or came to ask if I needed any assistance. I had to go to them. Mind you, they were all standing around the register near the tv dept. The particular cameras on the floor that I was shopping did not have built in memory. When I asked, no one knew how or had access to unlock the security feature on the camera to put in a memory card. John was the sales associate who worked with me. I went to the front and requested to speak with management. No one ever showed and after a few minutes of waiting I asked the clerk again, to make sure someone was coming... She then said, oh, hes standing right there. I, then had to walk over to management, a black guy and a white guy. (Both in black shirts. Im sorry, I didnt get their names) The black guy had a very unhelpful arrogant attitude and was very nonchalant. I explained that I didnt want to spend my money in the store because I could not try the camera out before buying it. The white guy, at least being polite, although his response, I did not understand, proceeds to tell me that its due to privacy laws that they cant put memory cards in the cameras for them to take pictures. That makes absolutely no sense because there are plenty of other cameras that I could, take pictures with. If that was the case then NONE of the cameras should be operable for the customers to try out. Ive never had this kind of experience before at this location. Visit details: 1/17/16 between 6-6:30p

Apparently, if you arent either one of their brodude friends, or have large bosoms, you arent going to get waited on by any of the 8 guys standing around in the cell phone area on a Friday afternoon. In addition to not being able to find anything due to poor signs, once I managed to get someone to at least tell me where Bluetooth earpieces were, he was so bored after I asked 1 question I thought he was going to pass out from exhaustion, so I figured out what I needed on my own. And no, 1 check out open with 6 people in line, I dont need a bag (obviously you arent listening), here are the last 4 digits of my card (still not listening), and HELL NO I dont want your credit card or a service plan thats priced at 30% of the value of what Im buying. I know this place is close to where I live, but I really should just plan out my purchases in the future, get an Amazon Prime membership, and not ever step foot in this store again, except to showroom the heck out of the place to find things elsewhere. Do not waste your time going to this store, every, at all, period.

Dont expect to get appliances delivered as promised from this store! Best Buy repeatedly gave us bad delivery dates just to get our sale! Purchased fridge on a Saturday promised it was in stock and delivery is on Wednesday. Best Buy calls on Tuesday to say Delivery Changed for two weeks later as it is a special order item and then promised not to change again. Called the morning of the delivery to move it back another two weeks later as it had not arrived yet. The excuse this time is that the system can not tell us it wont be available for the delivery date until they go to the location to put it on the truck and it is not there. I would not recommend ever buying an appliance from Best Buy because if the price is right you will likely never get it! Delivery person said they will follow up and we would get a call back about why it has happened twice and how to fix it. As expected that call never came back. Of course sale is gone and price is higher. Cant just go get it somewhere else, if it was going to be this long would have done something different.

I must say I am quite disappointed with the Manager of the Car and Audio department of this store. I work for a large company out of Dayton Ohio, and we were informed to have GPS Units installed in all company vehicles. Thus I give Best Buy work, probably up to 12 company vehicles just at our one facility. The vehicles come with a form that the installers have to fill out and give back to the customer, the serial numbers of the GPS units go on it so we may track the vehicle. Well for 2 out of the first 5 vehicles we did not receive this information back from them, nor do they have it on file. I requested that we brought the two vehicles in so they may get that information off of the GPS unit. The Manager said they would for a price. For a price? They were responsible for filling out the form, and giving it back to us, but some how we are suppose to pay for that mistake. The manager was not only unhelpful but rude as well. I plan on speaking to the store manager if this gets resolved, then I will change my review.

Well. Im an idiot. I called to see about repairing a tablet, and had to make an appointment. When I showed up for the appointment, I was immediately told the problem was the charging port. When I mentioned the tablet still takes a charge, but wont turn on, I was shown to the new tablet section in order to purchase one. They didnt have much, so I asked "is there no one back there that can fix the on button connection?" - "No, because wed have to solder." Was also told that if they were to send it out to someone who knew how to solder/fix connections that they would send it back unrepaired. Supposedly cheaper to buy a new one. The best part was, as I was leaving a door monitor said "we almost got her." I said, "no, you didnt almost get me". I will never purchase anything at Best Buy again. Obviously, Geek squad is only there to sell. I wish the woman who spent 15 minutes of my time making an appointment had told me they never FIX tablets. Waste of time. But it must be a great place to "work"!!

Last few visits and interactions with this Best Buy were disappointing. Tried to trade-in laptop for Best Buy gift card today - special was to go through 7/15 and I went in on 7/13 and was informed by a staff member they were no longer doing this special (she could not tell me when they stopped the special and did not try to find out or assist in any way). Tried to contact the manager after I verified the special was to go through 7/15 and was placed on hold for over 20 minutes and I finally gave up and hung up. Previously I signed up for e-mail notification when Nintendo Switches were available, and this was never activated - I ultimately found a Switch elsewhere. Place has gone very much down-hill over last year or so. Tried on separate occasion to get upgrade my phone, but could not find sales person to assist. No one offered any type of assistance. Not smart with competition like Amazon - Ill take my business there from now on. Must be nice to be doing so well they dont need my business.
