January 9, 2013: I had been looking at used cars for 2 weeks, then was ready to buy. I just sold my car so needed my new wheels quick. Had a list of car lots and specific cars from the internet. Traveled from all over Columbus,to Pataskala, to Lancaster, to Delaware. It was the end of the third and last day of my buyers grace period, and I was on my last nerve and heading home. I remembered stopping at The Village Car Store during my "shopping around" stage and it was only minutes from my house, so I decided to swing by. The very nice young man I spoke to previously greeted me. All the cars there are high quality and I explained my situation and test drove several cars. Unfortunately, although very tempted, they were just a little beyond my budget. This is a family owned business (father & sons). I was asked what my limit was, and the young man went in to talk with dad. When he came back out he said "hold on, my dad wants you to look at a car." They brought around a 2003 Ford Taurus SE. There was only minor body dings/scratches and the interior looked brand new/spotless. Electric seats AND pedals, then a test drive made it more inviting. "You can have it at your price out the door." "Huh!?" Was able to have my mechanic give it a good look and thumbs up. Done deal and very happy! To be truthful, I just about felt like part of the family. What a world it would be if we had more people like this. Great car buying experience!

Jeff was a great guy to work with, he stayed after hours with the owner until my loan got approved which meant even more since it was on a Friday. Got a Honda CR-V well under Kelly blue book and when I noticed a whine with the power steering they took care of it on the spot for me even though it had been almost two weeks and several thousand miles later. Im sure they cannot fix ever issue like this that comes up but I was beyond happy with the service I got. These guys really try to address all issues with the cars they sell and I never felt pressured or like I was being misled. I would definitely come back for another used car and recommend them to anyone.

BUYER BEWARE! Purchased a 1996 Van for my daughter at the end of December (2013) for $2,800. Wed been told the mechanic had gone over it and rebuilt the engine and although it needed tires nothing "appeared" majorly wrong. Of course with a vehicle that old there are always a potential for problems that arent apparent. However, the complete exhaust system needs replaced. Hard to believe there werent signs of that. Now the transmission has problems and stranded my daughter and 4 kids. Very expensive sub par transportation which worked out to $560 a month.

I had a good experience. I dealt with both Jeff and Zach and both were very professional. The cars on the lot are trade-ins purchased directly from dealers and most were very well maintained. The have a lot of older luxury cars liked Lexus and BMWs. The car we purchased had a small problem with the AC blower fan and the immediately offered to fix it for us.

these guys were pretty straight forward with me, i got a good price. I appreciated the laid back attitude, and no pressure added. Make sure you check the car out extensively, i would have appreciated info on a couple of issues before buying. Overall decent experience.
