In A Nutshell Of Madness
I became a customer with New Wave Auto in September 2015. I went with them because a co-worker of mine at the time referred me and she had a great experience with them and they have a Lifetime Warranty. I also brought my friend with me to test drive and her mechanic insight. I arrived at New Wave Auto and no sooner did I set foot on the premises, instead of walking with me out on the lot and show me their inventory, they drove up with a 2003 Toyota Camry to test drive. I didn’t see a print out of a Car Facts report and neither did she. We go into test drive the car. We drove the car around for 45 minutes and everything seemed ok. I get back and they said, ‘We’ve been trying to get a hold you. We’re about to close for the day.’ At the time, the car I had with a previous dealership prior was falling apart and I didn’t want my luck to run out and be without a car and depend on people for rides to work. I signed the contract and what caught my eye was they had the 2003 Toyota Camry at four thousand dollars more than the Kelly Blue Book Value. I signed on as a customer of good faith the car was in proper working condition. A few months go by, the check engine light came on. I brought the car in the mechanics department three time and at no point did I feel they honored their Lifetime Warranty. In November 2016, I was taking my boyfriend to work early in the morning. The tire blew out on I-275. When I had the tires replaced on the car, the gentlemen who replaced the tires, said to me this looks like the tires were never replace on this car. Shortly in April of this year, we were coming home from work, the serpentine belt and the alternator shuts down and so on an so forth. My boyfriend and I spent more money on repairing this car than making payments. I have the receipts to prove it. I need your help. If this car breaks down, I have no transportation and no way of getting my boyfriend to work. He’s the bread winner and d idn’t ask to have these problems with the car. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

My daughters grandfather purchased a car for her (her first car) from this place on Tuesday, August 2, 2016. We test drove it locally...seemed like no issues at all. A week and a half ago, we were going to take it on a road trip. I went out to the car to take it for a drive on the highway to make sure it was ok. It started jerking. I called the "service manager" on Monday, August 15th (after attempting to reach him numerous times since the previous Friday) and he told my daughter to come in on August 22nd at noon to "see what he could do", however, he said that it is normal for a Ford to have a transmission that does exactly what this car was doing. Today, August 22, my daughter sat there for an hour and when she was finally seen, he told her that she needed to take it to Ford down the street because the transmission is bad. I asked the service manager at New Wave Auto why a car would be sold to us with a bad transmission. He said "it depends on how we got the car". (Not sure why that would matter) So, he looks at where he got the car and says he doesnt know where the car came from and he doesnt have an answer as to why the transmission is bad. I said that this should have been taken care of before selling it to someone (by this time, he was raising his voice at me and interrupting me). **Lastly (this is a bit minor), a day after driving the car, we had our oil change, tire and windshield washer fluid lights come on and this all had to be taken care of.

No Stars, Worst experience EVER when it comes to Service of your automotive. They have decent cars but the cars are not inspected before they are sold. If you get the warranty, make sure you bring the vehicle to get inspected to a professional shop first. I had a few complains and had a year warranty, through the whole year either they, somewhat fix the problem then break something else and try to sell you the job and the part they broke saying it was like that. Or they would make you drive there to wait 2 - 3 hours for an oil change and not put a sticker or reset the service light and leave grease all over the vehicle. Or you would drive 1.5 hours there for service and they would not have the part or they would tell you that the problem is normal lol. The worst, and the list keeps going....Also I pretended i didnt know nothing about cars, I am a certified technician. My vehicle still has alI the problems that i went in complaining about and now I have no warranty, I would feel bad for females and people who does not have any knowledge about cars and would get the vehicle serviced there.

Dont Do It!!!! My vehicle purchase at new wave was and still is terrible. On my test drive we ran out of gas after going less than a mile. In less than a year since the purchase this vehicle has broke down several times. I have had a new radiator put in the vehicle. A new fuel pump, my ac blows hot air at times. The vehicle shakes at times. And there are at least sixteen coded vehicle problems that need addressing! The check engine light came on this vehicle three days after purchase and when I informed the dealership about the problem they got the light off but it came back on again and again and again! It is clear that they never fixed the problem because the check engine light is still on and has been for months! Some service. I can go, on and on but It angers me so. My words to you all is to shop around and be careful when you are buying a vehicle. Dont get wrangled into no money down or only $500 down advertising, because youll definitely get only what you pay for at new wave. Junk!!!!!!

Theyre not pushy fake do whatever it takes sales people. Theyre about the customer. Of course they want the sale... But they want you to be happy with it and understand everything that comes along. I went in there with my 5yo daughter not knowing a damn thing about actually buying a car ready to get bamboozled buy a bunch of assholes but i needed a car and didnt have a choice. My credit is not all that good and i didnt have lots of money to put down. So... I was working with Rob D. Who paid soooo much attention to my daughter wich was reassuring to me. Gave her snacks let her watch cartoons they went kitten hunting out front it was great. He took his time explaining everything to me he got me into my new lover. So pretty and reliable and safe and affordable. I can actually afford it. I couldnt belive it. Go see Rob. Hes the best. Theyre all really really cool But Rob is the man.

Bough a car from these guys and it took them over two months for them to finally walk my registration paperwork in to the dmv. In two months they still had not filed my title paperwork and would just hang up when I asked why no one was doing anything to get it filed. Even offered to go file it my self and was told it was illegal and I would have to wait until "their clerk came back from vacation", they didnt care that I was driving around with expired temp tags. Finally had to file a complaint with the state to get anything done after they started getting fined by the state. Never again am I dealing with these clowns, half of them look like they just got out of prison and the other half just act like cons.
