I didnt know a review was possible but I just moved to Ohio and I fell in love with this place! I know the prices are high but I loved it being close to my apartment. Ive been in Columbus for about 2 months now doing construction and I just about shop there everyday up until today. After a long bi week of work, I needed a ton of food and lots of wine for the holiday. At least a 100 bucks worth of goods but I was stopped. The security asked me to leave claiming that I harassed and hit an employee. I was shocked! It was complete BS! He said the management wanted me to leave. The security guard of course refused to let me speak with management because Im thinking this has to be some kind of misunderstanding. I called the market on the way home and they said it was because I asked one of their female employees on a date. I did in fact ask one of the female workers on a date because she was always nice to me and I was a 5 cents short on a purchase in which she covered. I thought it was sweet of her so I asked her out. She said she had a boyfriend so, the end. I never asked her again or even bothered to mention dating her. If that makes a person feel harassed I do apologize but me personally Ill never shop there again. Not to mention the management went on to say other ladies were made uncomfortable with me saying "hello beautiful " or " you have a nice smile " As if it were every woman who worked there. It was only two of them I ever spoke to. Thats just the way I talk. I call all women beautiful. I complement every woman. I was told thats being a gentleman. Guess no one told them thats what comes with customer service. Overall I never disrespected anyone, hounded any of them for a date or spoke nasty explicit things to them to have me escorted out. I was thinking maybe its because they think Im black, who knows but Im really Cherokee Indian. None of the girls bothered to tell me to not compliment them or explain concern with a compliment which was preposterous!. I know for sure I did not do that ever time anyway. Most days were casual conversation like "how is your day going" "how are you today" kind of talk. It was totally not that serious. I was told I could never come back. Wow! Ill miss the convenience of the shop.

Simply awful. Ive been forcing myself to come here because its walkable from my apartment, but now Ill drive elsewhere. The markup on their items is ridiculous. A Del Monte can of corn is around $2.30 - I could get that for a dollar cheaper at any other store. Same for, say, cereal, which here will cost you 5, 6, 7 dollars instead of the usual 3 or 4. Their cashiers are apathetic and need some serious coaching in customer service. I once asked to have my items double bagged. The cashiers response? "I was going to do that." Oh, well, excuse my impertinence. Ive repeatedly asked them to consider adding various staples to the store (like any type of potato that isnt russet), and they never do, and look somewhat confused or offended that I would ask. Finally, today I was asked if I were student or faculty, because then I could get a discount. Why, yes, at OSU! Heres my ID! Oh... awkward pause... we dont do discounts for OSU students. Seriously?!

They have a thing going on where they have lobster rolls every Saturday this month from 11am-2pm, my sister (~an hour drive away from me) and I (~25min drive from here) arrived around 1pm and they were out of lobster for the rolls but we could "come back next week"; something they were only serving for 3 hours and they ran out. Besides that, the area where they were serving them was tricky to locate as it was past the registers, you have to walk in and deliberately go behind the registers (unlike most mega marts where behind the register is where you walk in so having stuff there makes more sense). Besides all that, their prices are sky high! Yes yes, I know its right in the middle of downtown but the prices are about 3x what you would pay at a store like Kroger for the same stuff, and those arent far away. Id only go there for local things I wouldnt mind paying a small fortune for.

I have visited this place a few times in the last week. Overall as others have said it is a good option to have especially if you live in downtown. Their prices can be higher for certain items but that is in accord with the location and convenience afford it of having such establishment in the area. They have a good selection of quality items, especially beer and wine, a lot of local products. I will recommend that you inspect your receipt to ensure the charges match the price listed on the shelves, as I experience this issue a couple of times. Overall Id recommend this place just know that you will pay a premium for certain items, and the customer service is still in the developing stages. Im a big fan of their direct competitor in upper Arlington where the customer service is top notch, I hope the management at the Hill is paying attention and adjusting accordingly.

TERRIBLE! I will never shop there again! I stopped a year ago. Their prices are way too high and the customer serice from some of the employees is kind of rude. Particulary this white male security guard, older guy who follows my black boyfriend around the store everytime he comes in. My boyfriend almost wanted to ask him if he wants to shop with him because he literally follows him like highly noticable! My boyfriend and I live downtown and we use to love to shop there when we 1st moved downtown overlooking the prices because we make good money and its close by. Im sure being a owner of a night club my boyfriend makes way more than that rental cop who makes 10 bucks an hour probably and Im an RN so we have no reason to steal. Just terrible. I thumbs down this place.

I mean. If you dont go there looking for anything in particular you might find something that looks good. Maybe. I live a few blocks away and four times have gone and left empty handed. Usually its because I want something totally reasonable (like shredded cheese other than mozzarella) and they just dont have it. Whoever stocks this store doesnt stock in such a way that you could actually treat it as your go-to grocery. Which is stupid because more and more people are moving to the area. Instead of going to Hills I have to go to the (slightly farther away) Kroger. Not because of price (because Id pay for quality/convenience), but because they simply never have what I need. But the bathrooms are great. So they have that going for them.

Im a student over at ccad next to the hills and everytime I go in here I am followed around by the security guard as if he thinks Im stealing something. Not only this but none of the cashiers use common sense when bagging items. Multiple times Ive had them bag my purchase and they place the food or sushi on the bottom and it all gets squished and ruined by the weight of the other stuff. I just spent $20 on crap at the hot food bar and I get back to my dorm to realize she had put my Gatorade on top of the mashed potatoes and dinner I had gotten. Its all over the place and Im going back over to get my money back
