I love wandering the wide aisles of Whole Foods, and while some complain about high prices, if you stick to the house brands and ask the meat, fish and wine sellers whats a good deal, then you can keep your cost down. On wine, they have a very good selection of wines around $10. We buy them by the case and get the 10% discount, giving us one bottle free. The wine guy is knowledgeable and fun. Also, you can get a free sample of any product, so you know what youre paying for. On several occasions, theyve comped me the whole package. And theres no store with better customer service. People seem happy working there and go out of their way to help me find what Im looking for and discover new products. Some good deals: pre-cut veggies, 365 yogurt, Heirloom Chefs Feature spice, fish, meat and eggs from free-roaming chickens. Not cheap but worth it: Sarabeths preserves, emu eggs (just kidding!), produce, 365 organic cream cheese, Paul Newman Raisins, 365 baked cheese curls, both milk and 58.5% El Ray chocolate disks, fire roasted and sourdough bread, and dry aged steaks. These are the kinds of items youd get in a fine restaurant, and youd pay a lot more for them there (plus tax and tip). Finally, shopping at WF makes me feel good because they support recycling, local vendors and humane treatment of animals.

Whole Foods is one of those places that I probably wouldnt go to all the time, because whatever the residual benefits of eating healthy are in terms of healthcare costs, etc., healthy food is pretty expensive. Especially the healthy stuff organic stuff. Still, when youre in the mood to indulge in healthy stuff, look no further than here. And if lifes little vices, such as beer and wine, are your thing… youre in good shape here. The Five After Five Friday wine tasting with the food pairings is awesome. And, if youre not particularly concerned about it being a school night, they do a Monday six pack, which is like Five After Five, but with beer. The 161 Bar and Grill is a great place to grab a burger. Caution: the burger actually has two patties on it, so if you get the double you are getting four patties. The local, which is their recent Gastropub addition has at least eight (might be a dozen) interesting beers on tap, and a food menu that is pretty nice as well.

I have been to this Whole Foods a few times, and it was always a pleasant experience, but today I felt it was excellent! All of the employees were very friendly and I was asked if I needed help a number of times throughout the different parts of the store. The selection is always great in all of the departments (the store is enormous), and it is all very high quality stuff, so there is always the danger of coming out with much more than you had planned on. At checkout, a bag of chips was accidentally opened and was promptly replaced without even asking. They even walked me to my car and helped get my groceries in (umbrella at the ready, as it had been raining on and off), and offered to take the recycling I had in my car. Im mid-twenties and only had two bags of groceries, so it almost seemed overly courteous! Their prices arent the lowest, but thats to be expected when purchasing quality natural and organic products, and the service more than makes up for it!

I like all Whole Foods. They do this country a great service by leading the way to a healthier populace. I just moved to Columbus and I found that I liked the one in Northern Virgina better because they had better Vegan choices on the buffet. At this one even the vegetable dishes, like bean, contain milk. I have been told that the person in charge of the kitchen is not a Vegan. As a Vegan I find the hot buffet lacking on good entrees I can eat. Also The Wholefoods in Northern Virginia had raw juice choices daily. They had someone daily make a carrot and beet juice beverage and they placed the drinks in ice, about 20 a day and regulars like myself would always buy them out. They also had fresh OJ, and just carrot juice. When we boil the juice we kill the life in it. I hope this one offers a raw juice option soon. Other than those two things, they are fine. Their staff is the friendliest bunch of people I have ever met. I actually love them.

There are some things that I can only get at this store. The soup is great and we like the salad/ prepared food bar. My husband and I may buy items to take for lunch and it seems reasonable when you factor in buying all the ingredients and taking the time to make it yourself. I dont ever buy the hot foods because they dont look that great to me, although Ive never tried them so I could be way off. Some people think its too pricey, but I do most of my shopping at other groceries and just get specialty items here so its fine. I will say that we recently bought a rotisserie chicken and were very excited to eat it, but it was not great so we wont be buying that item again. The organic rotisserie chicken at Kroger is much better. That being said, the staff is very friendly and I enjoy the experience of shopping here and the wine tastings on Friday are fun and very inexpensive. All in all, a great place to shop. Just not for everything.

Surprisingly tasteless. We got food from the cooked food bars. I got curried Tofu with brown rice and my wife got a south American chicken with rice pilaf. Kids got the Mac n Cheese with a slice of pizza. All of the food was bland (no salt!). The brown rice was crunchy ,as if it had been sitting for a while. My kids rated the pizza as "in the middle" and the Mac n Cheese as creamy but not tasty. I thought the food would taste better than it did. We also ordered a nine inch vanilla cream cake to take home. Though the decorations on the cake were fabulous, the cake was really dry! Again, surprising for a foodie store like whole foods. I dont think our experience was worth the $50ish spent there.

I love this store it can be pricey but the quality and atmosphere is amazing. the customer service here is really nice in my opinion alot better than others places I have shopped at. These people actually seem to know their products and if the person doesnt know they ask another employee which was really nice of them other places would have just given some lame excuse of being a new product or they are out of stock. This place to me is like a art store for food its great to walk into a store with fresh bright foods and the samples they have you try in the prep foods always sell me quick ;) great place to shop 5 stars!

Ive had pretty consistently good service at all of the Whole Foods Ive patronized. That said, my local Whole Foods has been superb! From the first time I went there, before I got to be a regular over the last four months, everyone has been very helpful, pleasant and attentive. The quality of the food both prepared and otherwise, has been consistently goods well. They can get busy but because of the layout of the parking lot it is easy to find a spot and get in and out pretty quickly. If youve not been to this location, I highly recommend it.
