Broke my fiancé’s engagement ring, then lied about it. I took my fiancé’s engagement ring to William Effler Jewelers to get resized. When we dropped it off to get the estimate, the ring still had some string on it so she could wear it. The employee proceeded to put the ring on the mandrel to see what size the ring was currently at, and how much it would have to be resized. She pressed the ring hard down the mandrel to try to get a reading from the mandrel. I didn’t think anything of it at the time, as we are not jewelry people. We left to come back the next day to hear the estimate. My fiancé returned to pick up the ring and was told by the employee that it was cracked in two places. My fiancé put the ring on her finger and it was more than cracked, it was broken. The ring no longer made a complete circle, and there was a piece hanging open. The employee did not apologize, but quoted a price for what it would cost to fix. My fiancé was shocked and didn’t know what to do. She had to ask for an envelope to put the ring in, as she couldn’t wear it and left to find me. I returned the next day as they were closed by the time I saw the ring. I talked to the manager and asked him about it. In describing to him what happened, he stopped me and asked, “She put it on the mandrel with the string on it?” I replied that she did. He said that he would talk to the jeweler who made the estimate and the employee whom we dealt with previously. Twenty minutes later he called me and proceeded to tell me how the ring was old and had been resized twice previously and had a very thin shank. I told him I wasn’t pleased that a piece of jewelry that I dropped off as a ring, came back broken. Then I was told that it did not leave his store broken, simply cracked in two places as the jeweler had said. I asked if he was calling my fiancé a liar, and he said he wasn’t, but he was sure that the ring wasn’t broken when she left the jewelry store. (!!) I brought my fiancé to the store and he said the same thing to her face. I’m convinced that the manager simply made a business decision and decided he had nothing to gain by fixing the ring as I was never going to go there again after he fixed it. This is true that I would never go there again, even if he did fix the ring. But I think this shows how little this store values customer service, not to mention integrity and honesty. Do not patronize this store, you will be sorry.

Purchase a ring from Scott Kay . Expensive . The older attractive Lady insisted I should have it sized. I did not want to because it was platium . My husband thought she should know. I ask if the had lazer r/t that should be what I read to cut platium. She said " of course we do" we have been doing this for years. So ring came back so beautiful . 2 weeks the rings shin that they placed after repair wore off. A section was discolored . So I sent then pictures . They said they would send it but I would have to pay everything . Scott Kay repaired , cut the piece out , said it was a different type of metal that was why it was discolored . Know the ring slightly narrow on one side . I am guessing by stretching the ring back to size with its original platium. Know my small diamond fell out. Scott Kay did not charge . Guess they did not want to get in the middle. I been sick for a while and had no fight or legal funding . What should have been done was the ring should have been set out. There was a review from a guy who took his girlfriend ring there to have it sized . Antique . It was broke when he pick it up. Well I read that after the fact. Then I found out later original owners sold to family . Not by fare the same. Use to be the best . I though. You don,t want a lemon ring. The pice the cut out was larger then needed. Not sure why? When I wrote to them and showed them pictures the other women wrote that me as if I was harassing them . Even though the original one said I have to pay for all. I keep all my letters .

I reached out to Effler about helping me find an engagement ring for my fiancee and I gave them a difficult task. I wanted a lighter colored sapphire that was natural (not lab created) and needed it to be affordable. Within a week, I was surprised that they found an amazing gem stone about the size of a 1ct diamond. The process of finding the right mounting took a while as I was very picky, but they eventually recommended the Scholdt rings to me and I found the perfect one in a matter of minutes on their website. It didnt take much time to get the ring all put together with diamond side stones and in my hands

I purchased my engagement ring and wedding band fromWilliam Effler and I will be coming back here for all my future jewelry needs. They did a great job making me a custom setting and helping me locate the perfect diamonds. It was a very enjoyable experience and I am extremely satisfied with the quality of their work. Buying an engagement ring can be a very stressful event and William Efflers did a great job of earning my trust and delivering exactly what I wanted at a great price.

Took my wifes engagement and wedding bands in to get the fused and cleaned up, as well as my own band to have it bumped up a 1/4 size. A lot of the jewelers along Wabash have a bit of a shady feel to them, but William Effler was very clean and well put together. I brought the rings in around 1pm and they were done by 5pm. Thats some super fast server. They even polished and re-brushed (brushed metal finish) my ring. Highly recommended.

Of course they have a large selection of all kinds of jewelry: diamonds and gemstones, rings, bracelets, necklaces, watches--you name it. As far as the gifts, they have a lot of porcelain figures, as well as some nice baby gifts, clocks, and Waterford Crystal items, among other things. Overall, Willam Effler Jewelers is a very good store, and being that it is a long-standing local business makes it that much better.

I was pretty impressed with this jewelry store. The girl that helped me pick out a necklace was so helpful. She had a great sense of style and that really helped me out! The selection was great too; I wanted to buy everything in the store. I will certainly be a returning customer; you can’t beat service like that!

They have made six rings for me. I love the rings, the staff attention and care. When something goes awry they are there to take care of my concerns and my jewelry. I would not go to a big box, or chain jewelry store. I learned that expensive lesson 30 years ago. Family owned, family cares.
