I purchased furniture about a month ago online and wrote in the comments that I would have no one available to take delivery until after 6pm as they only offered delivery service on Wednesday. Yesterday I got notice that the delivery scheduled for today will be there at 4pm. This morning I get a call asking if I want to cancel the delivery since they just now saw the note about me not being home until 6pm. Really??? Im 34 weeks pregnant and you want me to rent my own truck and come pick up the furniture myself. How many others are able to leave their job at the drop of a hat when notified 24 hours in advance? UPDATE: Their response, "Should have went in store to ensure delivery for free promo. We can help you load here at store but then you could hire someone to help at home. Thanks for shopping here!"

Very bad experience with Havertys. We recently moved to the Cincinnati area and were looking to fill our new home with quality furniture. We ended up purchasing from Havertys; once they had our money, it was nothing but trouble. Ive had to spend 3 separate days waiting for my living room set to arrive. The delivery crew was once 3 hours late. Our leather living room chair was broken, so Havertys made us schedule another full day for the inspection. The final piece of the set was supposed to come in at the end of the month, but instead took 3 months to come in; we paid to have it delivered, but ended up having to pick it up ourselves. If you are looking for value and service, you are wasting your money at Havertys.

Terrible customer service all around! In response to HoosierTrooper - I suspect their customer issues extend far beyond the reach of Cincinnati. My husband and I had a similar experience with Havertys delivery of our leather sectional in Indianapolis. The leather was damaged by the delivery person upon arrival, they had to schedule a day for inspection and repair, the guy basically marked over the leather with a magic marker and we had to throw a fit to get a new couch delivered 2 months later. Buyer beware - they are thieves!
