This weekend I went to pawn america to buy 2 computers and what a huge disappointment that turned out to be. We found two that we thought would be great after all they say they have certified techs that check over all the computers. One of the computers came with a bunch of viruses and a power cord that does not even fit the computer. The second one had a loose connection in the power cord and the fan was going out. I kept the one with the viruses and got it running pretty good. The other one I exchanged only to come with another laptop that didnt work. This time it had 4 corrupted drivers and could not find a wifi signal. A third trip to pawn america was less than enjoyable as I found another computer and asked them to please make sure it could find wifi signals and it turns out that one would not even turn on, thank goodness I had them check before I came home. Finally I found one that worked although the sticker said it was a windows 8 when it was actually a windows 10. I asked the assistant manager if I could maybe get a bit of a discount since I had to make three trips to get working computer. She said she could not give me a discount or she could be fired. I informed her that is fine I will still take it but I was disappointed because they have a sign stating all these things they do to the computers and I found it to be a complete lie. I thought it was sad that out of 5 computers three should not be on the sales floor and of the two that worked one came with issues. She said "well not everyone is as much of an expert with computers as you seem to be." I was livid as I was not saying anything against her but against their "certified computer tech." Be very careful when you buy something there and I wouldnt bother with paying for the warranty as right now they do not seem to have a decent tech.

few weeks back I went to the store to sell a 1 ct diamond ring. it came with IGI (International Gemological Institute) certificated. the broker gave me a price of 650$ for that ring and her quantity and quality for diamond measurement matches the IGI certificate measurement. and she told me that there policy is to give half price of the price they are going to sell the ring. understandable. I needed some time to thing. so I went home. next week when I went to sell the ring, I did not find her, instead I talk to another broker, named Kelley. she told me that she will gave me only 360$ for that ring. According to her quantity and quality for diamond measurement, it was only 0.75 tcw and the grade of diamond was lower than when was described in IGI certificate. Note that I gave her the certificate too. I did not sell that ring. Conclusion, even in the same store you will get different price for same product. and for diamond seller, no matter if you have IGI citified diamond ring or not, they are not going to value ur certificate..

Ive had a pawn in with them for little while now and when coming in im informed now instead of one $60 payment I now to put $120 down even though Im basically caught up and now out of my grace period. So it ended up costing me $120 for one month extension instead of just $60. How is that fair to someone who A) had their pawn in for months now and it was never cost me that much, then to say rules have changed well then should change on new pawns not previous. Cause I only came to them cause I was very hard up and get something taken care of and now Im going loose what I true dont want to loose cause they changed the rules without a car what they do to there customers. I will be getting my pawn out with my xmas money and I will never set foot into this store again. Thats shady business and im sorry but I dont like shady places. I use to consider this place the best in town now Id rather drive 45 min to go to a decent pawn shop. Sad what they have come to now here. Never good service either!

Mostly new staff are rude and have no customer service skills!! Cant price their merchandise and then give you an outrageous price. Do not price anything according to condition. OK, I ammend this to say that new workers are getting better, however recently went into pawn some DVDs and was told you guys only pay a quarter now and $2 a box set no matter what it is. So I bring a $50 box set and you give me $2, great deal!! And a quarter a piece on DVDs, you are only hurting yourself as no one will sell and you will hurt your sales in the long run. Only bought a handful DVDs in last few weeks because you guys are getting NOTHING in since you cant pay more than an freakin quarter!! Pure Greed!!

Went in to buy a secondhand portable console and the sales rep immediately helped me out and let me personally look down every console and patiently waited for me to find the one I like. Its awesome to not feel pressured into buying stuff and even more better when the sales reps help you find the right item your looking for. Elizabeth was the sales rep that helped me and honestly has showed me that there are some completely kick butt sales reps there. She not only helped me return a broken console I had chosen, she even offered to go out of her way to help get me what I was looking for. Thats what I call amazing customer service. Keep kicking butt you guys. Will always come back.

!***DO NOT GO HERE***! If you have no where else to go, still dont go here. The prices are pennies close to retail, the staff will not budge on ANYTHING in the store, they are focused on pawns only (granted they are a pawn shop) and getting customers into short term layaway hoping the customers wont be able to pick it up. They have all the knowledge in the world on jewelry, which is what they care about the most, and absolutely no knowledge on anything else they sell. They base their merchandise prices on eBay exclusively and ignore product condition and feature loss. !***DO NOT GO HERE***!

I have been frequenting the Pawn America in Fargo for almost 5 years now, and every time I do, its a good experience. Whether its to sell my games, to buy movies, or just browse, they almost always have just what I want, and more! The employees are on another level. Real people with genuine personalities, who want to help you. Ive made lifetime friends with the people who work/have worked there. Liz the manager impressively keeps it all together there, so when you have some time, stop by to say hi to them! You wont be disappointed.

Never do a pawn loan with them, they are horrible to work with. Extremely rude, degrading, charge astronomical interest rates and commonly give incorrect information. As for the store, it is very dirty, items bought arent cleaned and look filthy. Customer services is horrible and they dont care to make their customers experience a good one. They could definitely use trainging on providing excellent customer services. I would not recommend their store or pawn shop to anyone and will be reporting their horrible service to the BBB.
