This is a great place to get a good cup of coffee for a variety of reasons. The first is the coffee, I believe this is the best iced coffee in Winston-Salem. I also have had a bunch of their other coffee beverages including chai lattes, hot iced and frozen mochas, regular black coffee and hot chocolate. Each drink is made with with the same care and precision. Their gelato is also very good, plenty of flavors to choose from. I dont frequently eat gelato but it is a good balance of flavor and sweetness. Not quite as sweet as typical icecream, but the texture and quality flavorings make it a treat. Its creamy and smooth without icecrystals, as you would see at other places. The staff at West End Coffeehouse are courteous professionals who are friendly. Ive never had an issue. I like the basic vibe, no pretense here unlike other coffee shops. I have never seen it crowded with a bunch of people on laptops, but it isnt barren either. The average patron seems to be a person on the go. Make no mistake, Its plenty comfortable with couches and chairs. Ive spent over an hour here before enjoying the conversation with friends and family. Parking is also very easy and free, making it a great place to stop on a lunch hour. Another important factor for me is that they are dog friendly. All around, my goto spot downtown for a great coffee experience.

Only been here once since the newer ownership, and I loved it! Tried some gelato: delicious. Ate a cherry turnover (apparently from Cheesecakes by Alex -- an excellent choice!), and it was the best Id ever had. My matcha latte was fantastic. The barista was friendly, and she knew her products. I asked her lots of questions about the menu, all of which she took time to answer thoroughly. Great little spot!

I love this place I think the gelato and the coffee and the pastries and the cakes are fantastic and the staff is friendly and the owner is obviously very talented and the location is simply wonderful and easy to access period I would go everyday if I could

Lots of hot and cold coffee and non coffee drinks available! Had a latte and a chocolate frapp. About 15 gelato flavors all looked good as well as other desserts. Not overly busy but a steady crowd. In a good location dowtown. Will visit again.

Barista was very friendly but didnt know where the espresso beans originate. Espresso tastes like its made with municipal water and was scorched. Not impressed with the coffee or the price of gelato ($3.75 for a small). Pass

Amazing gelato made in-store, and theres always a new creative flavor to try. Great coffee offerings in a relaxed atmosphere, sandwiches and pastries, and even a curated beer/wine menu. Highly recommended.
