I have been shopping at Mega Thrift ever since they first opened their Clemmonsville Rd. location when I was about 17. I am now 24 and live about 45 minutes away. I still shop there as often as I can, because of all of my wonderful finds. I have since discovered the University parkway location and also shop there as often as I can get there. I describe it to my friends as "Goodwill, only way better." Both locations are always clean, and have very friendly employees. All the clothes are sorted in such a way that it is easy to find something specific you are looking for. The prices are always reasonable, and thats BEFORE the tag of the week sale! Even though I no longer live close to either location, I try to make the 45 minute drive monthly. The majority of my closet came from Mega Thrift! They also have a great selection of housewares, which helped out a lot when my husband and I got married and needed to stock a house. I will shop at Mega Thrift as long as they are open. Anytime I am in the Winston Salem area, I try to find a way to get there. You never know what you will find!

By far the best thrift store Ive ever had the pleasure of visiting. The building is an old grosery store with tons of room. Theres awesome deals everywhere and asking the employee thats ringing you up for a better price on something you think is overpriced is a everyday thing. TRAMP NOTE: Do you need close or to decorate a new squat? The backside of Mega Thrift has all you seek. Ive never seen anything even close to a dry day here. Managers will come out and invoke the name of the swines of order and law. Never a swine is successfully summoned before a hasty retreat executed. -May your endeavors be a given and foes find it wise to never cross your path.

I LOVE this thrift store! Out of all the other consignment shops in town, Mega Thrift is my first go-to store for new-to-us clothes for the entire family! I love their super sale events, where everything is on sale for half off, or their children clothes sale, where everything $4.99 and under is only .99! It is clean, well organized, and the employees are always happy to help. They have two locations, one on the south side of town, and one on University; the University location is my absolute favorite. The manager there is always cheery and upbeat, and will happily answer any question. Once you start shopping here, you will be addicted!

This is by far my favorite thrift store in the area! The staff is very friendly and always ready to help. Some of the reviews say that their merchandise is expensive, but I have to disagree. I am a very frugal thrift shopper and always land the best deals here! I buy the majority of my clothes at this location, and rarely have to pay more than $3 - $4 for one article of clothing. Take advantage of holiday sales and the color of the week and you can get a cart full of clothes in great condition for >$20. Their houseware and book selection is a little weak, but their apparel selection is fabulous.

This place is huge!!... lots of good stuff. They have color coded extra discounts. Great selection of fabric, I found some great cotton quilting prints here. Anything from vintage items to newer more current styles. Prices are a little higher than a Goodwill but items are in better shape. Ive found awesome retro new shoes here for around $6. Fun dresses, jackets, household items and tons of graphic tees for projects. Only complaint is the check out process. Lines are always so long with 1 register open and slowly moving cashier and people with cart fulls. Patience is required.

Everything is color sorted and usually more organized than Goodwill. Like ANY store that sells used items, you should check everything before you buy it. They have an email newsletter with deals as well as weekly deals. Sometimes you can find incredible stuff. I got a whole garbage bag size full of clothes in great condition for like forty bucks- and they were mostly really good brand names. The book section is pretty weak, but kid toys and games is great! I got a brand new (but the older version) game of Scattergories for 98¢! This one is better than the other Mega Thrift.

Hated this place with a passion. I have never seen a more expensive Thrift Store in my life. Cotton Scarves...(with stains) 3.99 - Winter Scarves ( with holes) 7.99. Dress Barn Dresses - 14.99, shoes from Walmart - start at 4.99 and go up. Purchased a really cute Mountain Women & Ewe winter hat for a reasonable 2.99 (WoooooWhooooo BARGAIN) only to find out they had put the price tags OVER THE HOLES in it. NOT such a bargain and they would not take it back.Im heading to Goodwill from now on where they actually get the meaning of the word THRIFT. Mega Thrift Sucks.

Excessively expensive and despite the high prices all sales are final, probably so they can pay for those iMacs they use as cash registers. They have signs on every wall threatening shoplifters which make me feel like a criminal just for walking into the place (I dare say law breakers already know its against the law). You would be much better off going to the huge and more reasonably priced competing thrift store down the street. I suspect this place is targeted at hipsters and upper middle class people who can afford overpriced used underwear.

A very large thrift store. lots of space to look around without other people getting in the way. Wide aisles and generally organized, except when someone lets the toy section be the babysitter. Has a very large selection so if you search you can find hidden gems among the normal low quality thrift items. the prices are a bit on the steep side compared to Goodwill, but they do run sales and the selection makes up for the prices being a few bucks higher.

This store is Wonderful! I cant imagine shopping retail after finding this jewel. Ive been told these fancy pants consignment shops like ETC are sneaking over to the MEGAS, and the owner and her minions are buying items to pad their inventory. Save their INFLATED prices! Go straight to MEGA THRIFT! Call the staff is great! Anthony is the special a wonderful hell help with anything. The Clemmonsville Road is my favorite but theyre both great!

The majority of my clothing has come from Mega Thrift, but its all great quality clothing. For example, today I bought an Izod sweater for $2 (with their weekly tag sale). It looks new. My wife and I, left with 16 items (the sweater, polos, long sleeve shirts, pajama pants, and Winter hats) and spent a whopping $36. Thrift store shopping isnt geared for everyone, but if you enjoy looking for a bargain this is a great place to do so.

Huge store but prices are way too high for thrift items. I didnt realize my kid picked out a walmart dress that was priced 12.99!! (saw after we got home) it was maybe that much NEW-or less! Household items-same thing. I could have filled a cart, but prices must be taken off of ebay or something. Toy area is a disaster of dirty broken toys.

Store is mostly clothing. Other items such as domestics, are in poor condition, stained, nasty... Might be good for families with numerous small children. But as a Single grabdmother I found nothing. Oh and there was only one cashier and 12 ppl waiting. I do not recommend
