On average I spend a couple of hundred dollars at Michaels per month. I have always had great relationships with the employees. And it breaks my heart to say that after the horrible customer service received tonight, I will no longer be supporting the company. When I asked the manager for an employee who helps me every time Im there, she quickly responded that employee was no longer with them due to "personal reasons." The manager did offer her help, which was appreciated. I said "its okay but thank you anyways," and began to walk away. She stopped me to tell me any employee could help me just as well. Once again, I responded, "Thank you. I understand but its okay," and continued trying to walk away. She then harshly proceeded to tell me "ANYONE could help me just as well!" I was SHOCKED. I wish that was the complete story for the review, however It isnt. I returned to my poorly stocked beading section and she then walked up to an employee beside me stated, "She is so rude." With how much money I spent in that store I was extremely upset by this comment. I said "excuse me?" To which she loudly responded, "I was talking to my employee." With all that being said: I love my Michaels employees and know almost all of them by name. In the last week or so 4 employees have quit for "personal reasons." After tonight I know that reason is THE MANAGER. I look forward to the day the Manager is let go for poor customer and employee service. However, until that day my money will be spent at other craft stores who will give me the extremely kind customer service my Michaels used to offer.

so i go into the Micheals in Mayfair Wilmington NC . Looking for a three compartment frame and something to self laminate a flower so it could be put in frame... go to framing counter and ask associate if she could help me find this.. she replies "I dont know where that is".... then find manager.. she doesnt know either... do they just give people red smocks and say "GO" wtf...

Horrible customer service. I called ahead twice to make sure the craft I needed was in stock before making the trip- only to find it was not only not in stock, but not available for purchase. Ever. Really disappointed the staff knew so little about their merchandise, and even more disappointed with how dull they were in aiding a paying customer.

They had some good sale items. Had a small issue with returning a gift. It was an insulated cup that had a hair stuck in between the walls. They were willing to exchange it for another insulated cup ONLY, but they only had comic book cups left. Would have preferred store credit or even exchange for another SIMILAR item...

Of the craft stores in Wilmiington, Michaels is my favorite! They always have amazing deals and their are always coupons. My only complaint would be that they never seem to have enough employees around. You really have to search for someone if you need something.

I love the products in Michaels so much, but I absolutely dread going there. There are never enough cashiers and there is always two extremely long and slow lines. When I just want to go in and grab something it will take me 20min. Every time I go. Why.

There is always a good selection of a great variety of crafts and for many types of creative pursuits. The personnel are always friendly and helpful. The coupons they frequently accept make it so much more likely I can actually purchase something there.

Went here for peel and stick numbers. They had none. They simply dont sell them. I asked the worker why and his response was comical. "They must not be popular". Numbers arent popular? What?
