Although there was a larger selection in this shop than others in the area.. I was disappointed in the service. I inquired about an appraisal on my antique engagement ring for insurance purposes, and the man who helped me was very abrupt and a little harsh. I had been told some of the same things about my ring from multiple jewelers, which this man immediately insisted were wrong and "lies." he may have been correct, but the way in which he inspected my ring for about 10 seconds frustrated me because I felt as if his attitude was a bit "know it all" when I knew (from my experience with jewelers who have actually worked on my ring) that some of the things he was insisting upon were wrong. My biggest complain is that I didnt feel that I could trust him to give me an accurate appraisal without feeling like he had his own best interest (and time) in mind. However, I do think he has a lot of experience in running a pawn shop, and perhaps these are just tricks of the trade.

The finance charge is less than other shops, but if you want to get your stuff back, go somewhere else. They tried to sell my item a day early, behind my back. No phone call, no text. After either the manager, or owner, stepped in and promised to get my item back, I went in to pick it up. When I asked for a receipt to show proof of it being picked up, I was told they dont give receipts. What business doesnt give a receipt after an exchange of cash? What kind of business tries to sell your stuff, without even so much as a phone call? Picasso pawn texts you to let you know whats going on, and they give you receipts. So does Gold Star Pawn. Bottom line, if you want to off something youve stolen for drug money, this is the place. If you want to legitimately pawn something because youre in a jam, theres several other places you should go.

Up front and straight forward about pricing. While the price I was offered was dissapointing, they were were honest and also told me roughly how much I could sell it for on my own. Overhead required to run a profitable retail location and the time-value of money will take a bite out of what you might expect to get for something, but they will be very honest with you about it. They might be a little brusque and they are in the pawn loan business primarily so if youre looking for top dollar for your junk then you might be better off using craigslist or ebay. Theyve got a nice selection if youre looking for a pawn shop to browse and theyre frank dealers so if you need a quick pawn loan theyre a good option.

I went to Plaza West Jewelry & Loan to have my ring repaired. They came highly recommended and I now see why. Everyone was courteous and patient. The repair work was done expeditiously and expertly. I am so happy with my repair. I also found out the owner has been a jeweler for over 40yrs. He can make any jewelry item if you bring in a picture. How AWESOME!!

This was my first time visiting Plaza West jewelry and loan. I was very impressed by the organization and neatness of the store as well as the friendly greeting. The gentleman that helped me which I assume was the owner is very pleasant to talk to and very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this pawn and jewelry store in Cary.

I recently purchased two firearms form Plaza West. I feel as if I got good prices on both. Unfortunately one of the guns was taken from my vehicle in Raleigh on Feb. 1 2017. I is a Ruger SR1911 serial #670-93046. I have contacted the Police. Please be on the lookout for my gun.
