While the food provided is not bad, DO NOT USE their catering services! The entire experience working with them was a nightmare. I planned on using them for my wedding and after working to build a menu I drove over 9 hours to do a tasting with them, as the event was out of town for me. They constantly ignored emails and notes I had to let them know what I needed, They showed up late for the event causing my wedding to have to be delayed until they could move their truck, they did not deliver all of the food I ordered and the things they did bring were NOTHING like what I had at the tasting which they chalked up to a new chef. The comparison between what I paid for and what I received is laughable. I had to pay for a bartender and they did not send one, instead I had a chef and a helper arrive and because the helper was working with the chef to get food out, she was unable to serve my guests. I emailed again after the event to give them the chance to make the situation right as I was disappointed in paying several thousands of dollars for their services and then to not get what I ordered and after three days, I am still being ignored. So i suggest even if youve scheduled something with them, you stop! Stop payment, back out now and for those that havent had to suffer through their mess, dont even give them a second because things may look great upfront but they do not deliver, steal money and ignore you! *Edit: While I appreciate finally being communicated with, I will not get into a he-said / she said argument on Google reviews, instead I have attached the photo of the outdoor tent they said, "they had not rented a tent at an outdoor venue and therefore they had delayed the wedding." because I feel this speaks for itself in terms of their excuses. I hope that anyone reading this takes my review into account and also looks at the way I have been treated following so.

Had breakfast here both days that we stayed in town. This is a cute, up-scale grocery store with a large fresh/prepared foods section (pretty much a restaurant). It offers quite a few nice options for breakfast at a moderate price. Nice atmosphere and good selection of upscale food and drinks to browse. It wasn’t overly busy either time we were there but still took about 10-15 minutes to get our food, so I can image it would take a while during peak times. The oatmeal was good with fresh fruit on top, just be sure to ask for it without syrup unless you like it really sweet (it also has brown sugar). Overall, a nice place to stop for a quick-ish bite to eat for breakfast or lunch or if you need food supplies. Positives: Good selection of breakfast and lunch food at the cafe, nice upscale grocery, espresso bar. Negatives: A little slow and expensive.

Hit or miss results. Ticket times are slow. I had the mahi fish sandwich....dry, overcooked. My wife had the prime rib sandwich special. Chewy! They should shave it as they would cold cuts. Its not all bad here. The burger is consistently good. The fries always seem to be well done but hey some people enjoy them that way. The lunch buffet is good if you are in to pizza, pasta, etc. Staff is always accommodating and keeps well composed during the daily summer invasion. GPS to locate you when your food is ready. The store has an impressive selection of wine and beer. Given a captive mountain audience, beverages are priced at a slight premium. Again you can go wrong with the staples at MFG.

Burger was great. Store is nothing worth stopping for. Picture a normal IGA only missing half the food and the rest at double the normal price. This could be an awesome store with upscale items, local produce, etc bit its all national brands, poor selection, and high prices. For example take juice. Tropicana and Simply. Thats it. Wow, with all the great choices and thats all they have. What about fresh bread you ask. Nothing. What about some locally produced yoghurt? Nowhere to be found. Store made granola? They had $5 bags of some national brand for $8. Fresh baked muffins? Haha. You get the picture.

The Wine section is already over priced but I had a really bad experience in addition to that. The food smells nice, though. At checkout, the wine would not ring up, so the Manager just made up a price on the spot, which I knew was more than what they had charged earlier. On asking whether the price sounds right, the other employees at the checkout started saying stuff like, Oh, I remember you had come in the last time, it was the same price. Left a really bad taste despite spending over a $100 on that transaction. Will not be visiting this store again, and wont recommend it to others.

Mountain Fresh has everything you could want in a small town grocery store! A fantastic breakfast and lunch menu and a to go dinner menu that feeds four at a seriously great price. I would recommend trying their daily specials and their street food in the pizza section. As a full time resident of Highlands I always stock up on their in house peanut butter and olive oils as gifts before I head home to visit family. If you have the pleasure of grabbing a warm strawberry doughnut on a Saturday or Sunday morning you will be sure to keep coming back for more:)

One of our favorite spots to eat. We usually go with a large group after church on Sundays and theres always a pretty long line... Because the food is awesome. Its priced fairly well for the area and the portions are quite large. Tons of selections on the menu and so far everything Ive had has been great. As for the grocery part of the store, they have a great wine selection and their meat prices are better than many other places. They also have an olive oil area with infused oils and flavored balsamic vinegars that are very good.

Update: Get the bacon jam burger (it was a special item) , the best damn burger ever! This place is great for a quick bite to eat in Highlands, especially during the off season during the winter and late spring. The pizza is just fabulous, and the other side deli area makes awesome soups, sandwiches and burgers. They transition over the years from a restaurant/grocery store into primarily a restaurant/wine & beer and daily necessities; which is just fine with me. Its affordable compared to the other dinning options in Highlands

This place isnt cheap, and isnt a huge grocery. Its more of a go for a few items on your way out of town, or for lunch while youre in town. they have a good wine and olive oil selection. Ive always found great local craft beer here too. The desserts are delicious. They have a lot of good stuff if youre going to be entertaining guests. It has a great atmosphere, and the parking lot is always crowded.
