I love coming here. I love the hot dogs and the bean and bacon soup. When we came in there was two men at a booth and us. We were waited on in a timely manner. But for some reason the staff doesnt like to come back to the table to check to see if you needed refills or to see if maybe you wanted ice-cream, well duh your at Mayberry why wouldnt you want ice-cream? The two younger black ladies working were afraid to make eye contact with you in fear that the customer would ask for something else. The older black waitress was great that waited on us, but she had to run down the sidewalk to buy air freshener. So sadly I didnt get any ice-cream. Service like this makes it so hard not to show your ass. But if you cant give your customers excellent customer service you need to stay at home. If you dont like waiting on tables or working with the public maybe you should be in another line of work. Maybe tela-marketing would be more up your alley? Some people are just not cut out for this kind of work. The public doesnt care if your day started off on the wrong foot or you burnt your toast before work. Or if your sick that day. You work as a waitress, you suck it up and put on your happy face. Make your customers happy, because your tip counts on the service your customers receive. Im not saying these things out of meaness, but this is the service we always get when we come to Mayberrys on Summit Avenue in Greensboro. So disappointed because I wanted chocolate ice-cream, but no one bothered to ask us if we wanted anything else. I was even kind enough to throw our trash away when we were eating, so that was just one more thing they didnt have to do in the whole process. All they had to do was to wipe off the table. For the service we received equaled zero tip! Disappointed.

The woman who usually helps me, Carolyn, is an absolutely sweetheart. Wonderful customer service and has such a great attitude. Gave one star because of the woman who took my order last time. I went in simply to get some ice cream and right off the bat she acted horrendously. Her attitude was horrible and she didnt understand AT ALL how to speak to customers. Asking her for some ice cream was like asking her to give me her kidney. She spoke to me as if I had wronged her in a deal-gone-bad. In 2 minutes she completely turned me off to buying anything from them and I left. That woman was a horrid nightmare and I dont think I will EVER eat there again. Sorry, Carolyn. You were the best.

This is one of those places that you hope never goes away. A true American, ole fashioned restaurant. Great place to take the family. They would never deserve a one star from anybody for any reason. So a staff member had a bad day in another review, everyone does. That doesnt mean they should be crushed or closed down does it? Good gracious! Some people just dont have enough culture or experience in life to fairly critique an establishment. Reserve your one stars for the absolute horrid, to which this place could never be...

Just a great old fashioned sandwich shop with very kind staff and amazing home made style sandwiches. If youre coming here to get anything fancy you might as well go anywhere else. This food is the nostalgia inducing pick me up just like Memaw makes. Everything you need and nothing that you dont!

This place is old and a bit dingy in a strip mall thats seen better days. The staff are very friendly and the ice cream is good, but if you are expecting a nice venue and glass cups, youll be disappointed with styrofoam.

Service was absolutely RIDICULOUS ! I went in to this mayberry at about 7:00 April 26 ... Everyone who served me and my family lacked basic people skills. I understand why it says help wanted on the door!
