Christmas Time: Had xmas lights to return, wanted to do so before xmas so theyd know not used. Went at noon 12/22, no place to park, so left. Called, asked if the return line would be long after 10 pm; reply: "Who knows this time of year." WHO KNOWS?!?! How about "NON-EXISTENT" because THEY ARENT OPEN?? Get there at 1030pm, told Customer Service closed at 10 pm. WHY THE HECK didnt they tell me that on the phone??? Complained to person standing AT Customer Service, refusing to help. Complained to Alma the manager, who also didnt give a crap. Went home, tried to call the Walmart in Garner--hung up after a 13 minute wait. Why the heck dont they put their customer services hours on the websites to save us all this trouble? Because THAT would be customer service, too and they simply stink at that. This store NEVER has enough registers open, even at Xmas, always has outrageous lines at Returns--again, not enough people-- and its next to impossible to find anyone to help if, God Help You, you need help. They also dont restock common items (like their brand of kitchen trash bags or water) often enough, necessitating multiple miserable trips. The pharmacy in the waay back of the store, forcing sick people to park far away, trudge passed the open vegetable section, registers and everything else, then wait forever (as they close at various times.) The prices might be a bit better but I much prefer Kmart on Western--clean, neat, pretty good inventory and prices, or even Target-- although thats always crowded, and their customer service sucks, at least they have enough cashiers open. I only go because they have a few things I cant get elsewhere, but I always cringe at the thought of having to go there. Really not worth the hassle.

As usual there are several customers in line. Someone walks up to our cashier and asks to buy cigarettes. The cashier leaves his register and us standing in line, and walks away to the register by the cigarettes to sell a pack. Those of us who waited in line, stood there in disbelief. When the cashier returned, I asked how my sale of $100 of groceries was not as important to Walmart as selling a pack of cigarettes? Why dont cigarette customers have to stand in line too? He refers me to the manager, Rashad. Get this. Rashad was standing 15 feet away and watched the whole thing happen. I guess Ill accept the apology from the kid at the register. He was new and trying to function in the disfunctional world of Walmart. But that manager, no way. He should have stepped in and sold the cigarettes, or continued my purchase. Shame on you Rashad. Oh and dont bother calling the number on the top of your receipt to speak to the store manager. I was on hold for 10 minutes and told I could not speak to the store manager, Porchelar Pegues, because no one knows when she works. I feel so special and valued.

(disclaimer) I am rating all walmarts when I write this however I will change to five stars for this location for 3 reasons number 1. they have self checkout. 2. They are not a super Walmart which I hate because Walmart should be Walmart we dont really need a one stop shop because it takes too long and I dont really care to buy my fishing poles at the same time I buy eggs and milk. 3. How impossible is it to have more than 2 or 3 registers open at any given hour the biggest issue with Walmart is they do not train the employees based on the entire store and this my friend is poor management I should be able to walk up to any Walmart associate and they should be able to answer my question depending on the question however if I ask the meat guy where the toys are then he should be able to say oh let me show you. You dont just say over there or I have no idea and snoot your nose at me. Let me in Walmart for one weeks time and they would all be running better than target in one week.

You have to wait in line forever to check out. There are NEVER enough registers open. They built many self service registers and they are never open. you cannot get help from anyone because you cant find anyone who works there. When you do find someone its never their dept so they havent a clue what to do or how to help. The few staff you find are rude and curt and dismissive. I sat and watched two staff members fight over going to the back to get me my TV. Neither wanted to do it. They put cameras in the store but why? No one is watching them because no one is there. There is never a manager to assist. They could not care less about their customers. I havent had a good experience shopping there in years! They spent money renovating but WHERE IS THE STAFF?????? Id rather pay more and go to TARGET Save your time and shop elsewhere

Phenomenal store. Main complaint is I was in a line where 2 registers are open during a busy time; obviously you can scan yourself but when you have 200$ in groceries you dont clog that line up. 5 minutes I to waiting a guy forgot something as hes ringing up. He decided hes going to go get it and we wait 12 minutes for him to return, only to see he grabbed 5 more items. Meanwhile theres now a huge line in the only 2 lanes open and the other lane was stopped as well. It took whoever is on duty over 15 minutes to respond to open more lanes which was ridiculous. Additionally, if someone decides they forgot something while theres 2 huge lines in the only 2 lanes during the evening rush, void the darn transaction and let him wait in the back of the line. Dont have the entire line waiting while be decides to go shopping more. Utterly ridiculous.

Agreed with most folks here. Ive been going to this Walmart...as a last resort...for years. I live about a mile from this one, but if I have time Ill go to the Target or Walmart in Apex. This store doesnt bother to keep items stocked and if you need help or have an issue then youre pretty much on your own. The only positive I would note is that theyve been under construction for the last several months. This is great if youre looking for a confusing maze of twists and turns to help stimulate the ol noggin, because youll have to navigate that before finding the entrance. If youre just hoping to walk in, find what you want at a decent price, and then leave...you may want to look elsewhere.

The best Walmart in the Apex-Cary-Raleigh area. I live in Apex but stopped going to the Apex location because this Walmart has the automated self-check out that speeds up the shopping process by at least 10 to 20 times. The last time I went back to the Apex store the check out line was totally stalled, so I waited 20 minutes (hoping it would speed up) and finally returned everything in my cart back to the shelves and left. Where did I go after that ? I went to the Cary Walmart. I got my stuff, went through the self check-out, and was home in just a few minutes. Well worth the extra gas to enjoy the speedy shopping model that this store has adopted (every Walmart needs to follow their lead !)
