I am a little embarrassed. I posted a poor review here and I meant to post it under a different retailer. So while I am here I will say that I really love Tops for Shoes. They have the excellent customer service. They are always prompt to greet me and take the time to help me find what you I am looking for based on my needs. They almost always have the size of the show that I want in stock and that can be difficult for a store in an urban downtown setting. I live in Asheville and this one of my go to places to get a new pair of shoes (if I can find parking!). Keep up the good work!

Tops is a locally owned shoe store in downtown Asheville with mens, womens and childrens shoes. The store started in 1952. Over the years, they added to the store and now consist of 30,000 square feet in several buildings. You can get lost in the shoes winding around the spaces. They have a huge selection of shoes including dress shoes, athletic shoes, hiking boots and sandals. They carry about every brand of shoe that you can imagine. They staff is very helpful, but the store can be very busy and you might have to wait for assistance.

Tops for Shoes takes after their name...they are the TOPS! Absolute best customer service Ive ever received. Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff who treats you like family and gives the most attentive and personalized service you could ever want or need. Its no wonder people shop here for a lifetime. Go in and buy some shoes from them, just to receive superior service!

This is a fabulous shoe store! Not only do they have a wide variety of styles and sizes, they actually have people who know how to fit shoes! We have been shopping here for 22 years, and the staff has had little turnover; its a great family-operated store that knows how to treat employees and customers RIGHT!

I have giant, size 14 flat feet. Locating shoes is often a harrowing experience. The Tops service was amazing. I was helped by friendly associate named Ryan. He brought eight pairs of running shoes and trainers in my size and took the time to explain each pair and the design. When these wear out, ill be back.

This is the perfect shoe shopping experience. So many brands, options, lots of salespeople to help. The kids section has a slide and tunnel and other interactive kid stuff - and they give stickers to kids! Just an all around great place to buy shoes.

Wow, you wont find these styles at DSW. From what I could see most of the shoes were comfy yet very stylish with brands from Clarks to Toms & Tevas. The service was so good. Bought two pairs and they will even ship them for you.

They have a great selection, including out of the normal sizes (womans 12 for example). That said, their pricing is nuts. Every shoe in the clearance section can be found online for much cheaper than their clearance price.
