I went to Sacred Lotus after interviewing a couple different artist around town. I had some work that needed finishing and decided Cameron Scofield seemed to be the guy that fit the bill. Cameron attempted to complete some previous work, although it did not visually appeal to me when he finished. I kept going back because I did feel the quality of his work to be worth the money and felt that if we collaborated together we could adjust the work that was done and turn it into something beautiful. The fourth time I had a scheduled appointment with Cameron he seemed disinterested, rude, snarky, short tempered, and over all pissed off he had to work on my tattoo. At $150.00 an hour I find that attitude unacceptable. That said, I thought perhaps he was just having an off day. Cameron proceed that day to literally rip through my skin causing damage that landed me at the doctors office, on antibiotics and almost two months later still not healed. The tissue damage runs deep into my skin and the pain is still not gone. Everything he did that day will have to be redone by another artist in an attempt to fix his "bad mood". But that wont be for some time due to the extensive healing that still must take place. This being the fourth time I went to him I am very aware that this is not his typical work. In fact, I dealt with his attitude that day (and some other days too) because I thought he was an exceptional artist with just a corky personality. I have attempted to contact the owner of Sacred Lotus to no avail. She has repeatedly ignored my letters and phone calls. There is a responsibility of all businesses to take care of their customers but especially when in the business of breaking someones skin leaving them vulnerable to various long term, possible life altering problems. When you pay top dollar, you expect top dollar work ALWAYS. And when top notch work is not delivered after compensation, then good customer service goes a long way. I want people to know that if this can happen to me, it can happen to anyone on any day. I also want people to know that the waiver that is signed at the beginning of any service, no matter what language is in it, does not ever waiver negligence. If a tattoo is spelled wrong, if it is not implemented properly that is indeed negligence. What a waiver does cover is if you just decided you do not like that tattoo, that would not be the artist fault. Document, take pictures, and hold people accountable for mistreating (or otherwise) you as a consumer. We trust these people to do NO HARM to our bodies when we pay them an exceptional amount of money for their creative abilities. Mistakes happen, sure. But following up with customers when they do is vital to running a good business with happy customers that trust you. My hope is no one ever has to deal with what I have gone through which is why I have taken the time to write a review. Its been embarrassing, heartbreaking, expensive, and frustrating.

Sacred Lotus is the place to go for the best tattoo. I needed a cover up so I sent an email to Kimi Leger with a few options to cover up my grim reaper tattoo. I received a very nice and detailed email back from Kimi about what would work for the tattoo cover up. I was extremely impressed with the information sent in the email so I booked a consultation with Kimi. Once meeting with Kimi at Sacred Lotus, I was hooked. This place is super clean, neat, and has a great atmosphere. All the artist are very friendly and make you feel as if you were with family. My tattoo sessions with Kimi were put to great use. Kimi worked tirelessly to complete the masterpiece that I have now. I could not be more happy or pleased with the final result. I now have an AWESOME dragon tattoo that covers part of my chest, back, and right arm. The cover up worked perfectly and no one can tell there used to be a grim reaper on my arm. I have had so many compliments on the tattoo and now I can walk with my head held high. Kimi is absolutely the best!! So if your looking for a great tattoo shop, this is the place to go.

Considering the seriousness of being tattooed, it is logical to seek out the best, experienced tattoo artist. Seeing that Sacred Lotus reputation has placed them in the top tier of tattoo parlors in western North Carolina, including being home to the best tattoo artist in WNC for 2016, my choice was made simple to give them my business. I have nothing but praise to give Sacred Lotus. My tattoos (both legs) were inked by Cameron Scofield, a "black works" master. I was able to review all artists portfolios on their website and choose which artists work was best suited for what I wanted. Cameron gave me an informative consultation (pre-tattoo) and worthwhile post-tattoo care discussion. When I left Sacred Lotus, I began to receive compliments on my tattoos immediately. I expect to have more work done and the hour commute to Sacred Lotus is certainly of no consequence to have professional, friendly and informed ink work done.

look no further for somewhere to get a tattoo in Asheville! I went all over trying to get a tattoo and each place had a huge flaw such as rude clientele, short hours, etc. I called Sacred Lotus about half an hour before they closed to see if I could get something and they allowed me to come get a tattoo with Kimi, who is absolutely the best tattoo artist in this area, and the best Ive ever seen, not to mention how patient and willing she was to stay hours overtime to do a piece for me. she didnt rush the process at all, it felt like I had a scheduled appointment during regular hours. the inside of the shop is super cool and the price was amazingly cheaper than I thought it was going to be. the whole experience was great. go here

I was turning 50 and I wanted a tattoo on my hand. FOUR shops turned me down because tattoos dont hold up as well on your hand. I do not like being told no when I am sure of what I want! When I called Sacred Lotus, they didnt bat an eye. Chad was quick, nice, but not too chatty. And the atmosphere was SO Asheville. Laid back and peaceful, as well as immaculate and tastefully decorated. I would recommend you to anyone, but especially first time tattoo customers. It was only my second one, but I wasnt nervous at all. And my tattoo is perfect. Thanks for a great experience!

From the moment I walked in the door, I was approached by professional and talented artists who discussed my ideas at length until we came up with fully custom designs that fit my vision. The end result were stunning tattoos and the knowledge to make them last. Everything from the interior decor, to the superb artistic talent within this shop make it a truly pleasant and memorable experience.

Just got my first tattoo here about an hour ago. Amy Ross did my tattoo and far exceeded my already high expectations. The color scheme was much better than what I envisioned for myself, and I am very happy that I allowed room for artistic creativity. I would also like to add that she worked extremely quickly, which made the experience much better (and more affordable). Thank you Sacred Lotus, I could not have asked for a better tattoo!
