Confessions of a former employee. Rude/Racial comments and Extreme Waste Pretty much sum this place up. A lot of stuff that was good to eat was thrown away. This is how most food stores run, but you expect something more from a place with this food model. At the very least you expect a compost heap. On top of that stuff like flowers, old baskets, and even a GIANT STAINLESS STEEL GRILL were THROWN AWAY, without being offered to charity/customers/employees. Upton request we were told "we cant do that". I mean, that last one could be sold for scrap, and a lot of wooden tables, displays, baskets could be practical for home use. Ill be honest, out of all the grocery stories Ive worked at (been a lot) this was 2nd on my list for waste, right after walmart. I said I left for a pay race, which was true, but honestly I couldnt be around my bigget manager anymore. The guy is gone now, but you cant imagine how annoying it is to listen to a MANAGER degrade and talk trash about every single customer. There were many racial slurs, beside my back, about my girlfriend which really upset me. This was probably one of my favorite places to work, but racist comments and waste were far too much.

We love shopping at Earth Fare especially since we moved here 5 years ago! Quality foods, Unique foods and great service. We also shopped at Earth Fare before we moved here when we visited every summer for ten years prior because it was such a great experience.....and I am not one for loving grocery shopping but here I do! Love the selection of salads and I really love the dining in particularly at the Westgate Locale but we also shop Hendersonville rd and Boone and I like them all.

Let me start out with saying I LOVE Earth Fare and all the healthy food options they carry from an actual grocery shopping perspective. BUT, the past few times I have come in to grab a salad from the salad bar for lunch, the food looked awful. I went in today and the mushrooms were brown and wilted and the fresh veggies did not look so fresh. Even the fruit looked like it was mushy and turning bad. Please upgrade the produce that you put out on the salad bar. It would make my day.

I bring home to slices of pizza that are supposed to be 2 for $4. Get home and take a couple of bites and it taste burnt. Turn it over and its black. I look at my receipt and the new clerk charged me $6.98. I have spent a fortune over the past 8 years on a retired veterans pay. Earthfare is way over rated when their are alternatives. I wont ever go again . I know others who feel the same. Let someone else pay for your remodels. Ever!

Love the remodel. Great selection of groceries and wine. Produce department can be pretty limited at times. Left off a star because of the salad bar. Often times the bar will be completely out of a few dressings, bowls or the lettuce will be wilted. When this happens the staff seem completely clueless but are usually helpful in remedying the situation. On other visits the salad bar can be well stocked and fresh. Pretty inconsistent though.

I shop at Earth Fare because of the good variety of organic foods they carry, and I find the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Having said that, I would advise others to pay close attention to sell-by dates, as I have picked up items from the dairy that were as much as 10 days past due. I have never gotten chicken from the meat counter that didnt smell bad after one day in the fridge. The prepackaged chicken seems to keep fine.

If you like Whole Foods and organic/local fare then Earth Fare is right for you. They have amazing produce, salad bar, deli, beer and wine and food that you can trust is free of the bad things you want to avoid. If you are vegan/vegetarian or have an aversion to foods because of dietary restrictions or allergies, they have food for you too! Highly recommend Earth Fare!

Most of the selection has remained the same but I have seen a steady decline in customer service in the past year. Just about every time I visit, which is several times a week, the service is 5/10 tops. They dont even seem to want to bag your groceries sometimes. Its a bummer because this place used to be top notch. Hope they get back on track.

Prices are on the higher side. Seems higher to me than Whole Foods or Trader Joes on the organic groceries. They do sell local dairy which is nice and their hot food has always been good. They have an awesome solar powered electric car charger in the parking lot. Thanks for that!

Some workers, like some of the cashiers are friendly enough, but I get scornful looks from many employees and management. I guess my money isnt good enough, and it costs plenty enough, that I expect *at least civil* behavior from the jerks at EF.

This Earth Fare is huge, often its hard to find someone to help you. I stopped going in as often because when I needed charcuterie cut there either wasnt anyone in the department or the person there didnt know how to do it.

Now a corporate sell out - didnt used to be this way, terrible lighting hospital like lighting and floors, feels sterile and gross, also really overpriced and seems like its meant only for rich snobs not average people.

Employees are always helpful, and if they dont know the answer to your question, they find out for you. Store is always clean and well stocked. Very bright and more open flow since the remodel.

This is not the Earth Fare I usually shop at. Store is nice and relatively new. Unfortunately the cashier was pretty rude and it is off a very busy part of Hendersonville Highway.
