I had a pretty racist experience at the Yonkers Ridge Hill LLbean Store. I needed to return a coat that I felt was maybe too big for me and I figured I would exchange it for a sweater Id prefer which was the fisherman cable knit sweater. I was looking for the off white color but I wouldve settle for the blue. As I am a bit of a slow shopper, I took my time looking at everything and comparing prices and quality. I found one sweater with the fisherman style at one of the sale sections in addition to a vintage white cable knit sweater and finally...finally the fisherman knit sweater I wanted. Although I was bit distraught that the price was a bit above my ideal range, I found the quality worth a long term investment and proceeded to hang on to it. When I intitaly walked into the store one of the associates petite black chic immediately recommended that I look at the sale section which I found highly offensive. Every time, I stopped to touch and look at a product an associate would stop me with a "can I help you with something miss" I was getting very annoyed. I figured I would look for a manager and she was quite nice until of course she suggested that of the three sweaters I was holding on to, I should just buy the one sale! I felt pretty defeated, offended and disgusted at the immediate suggestion. The manager then grabbed all the sweaters from my hand and just gave me the sale sweater. I was pissed. But like the lady that I am, I maintained my composure. Before I return to that store again I will be writing a letter to corporate, the customer service was fake, biased and racist. I love LLbean but I dont know if I want to shop here again.

My husband and I have been doing research on Kayaks and found that LLBeans reputation made us feel at ease with making the investment into their product. Eventhough their website gave us all the information about the Kayaks, we wanted to see them in person. The closest store was in Yonkers and we decided to make a day of it. We met Stephanie who is the in-house Kayak expert and I have to say she was extremely helpful! She told us all about the products (that suited us best) and took the time to go over everything! She wasnt "selling" to us, she was educating us and we felt extremely comfortable making the investment. I just had to write a review- very happy that customer service isnt dead!!!!

I need to explain this rating a little bit. L.L.Bean as a store/retailer/mailorder place is, as far as I am concerned, unsurpassed in their support of their products. We have purchased L.L. Bean products and come back 10-15 years later to find out how to fix something and been told to go get a new one instead. This has happened both in this store and up in the Freeport, Maine store. At one point it was a pull in a sweater and at another it was to fix an inseam of a pair of their boots. Both times we walked away with new items - much to our surprise.

They couldnt have been more helpful! I came in with my favorite hiking shoes whose undersides had crumbled due to age, asking if it was possible to repair them. Even though the shoes were beyond repair, they gave me a gift card for the original purchase price and did everything they could to connect me with a new pair that meets my needs. Highly recommend!

the clothes here are not really my style so i dont shop here often but on the few times ive went i must say they have the absolute best service of any retailer. i bought bean boots, some stuff for my dog, and a pretty good jacket. the quality of their items are great and o yeah did i mention the people are awesome!

Llbean, you Canot go wrong!!!! Their product is Great, their return policy is one of a Kind!!! And if you like items that you can depend on, this is your store to purchase at! Prices are very reasonable, especially for what your getting. As for parking, there is a lot which you pay $3 for the day.

Everyone of the LLBean employees that I encountered was anxious to help and very pleasant. The store was filled with quality merchandise of every description... I had questions about some of the goods like the shirts and every aspect of questions was answered...

Havent been here yet but I just wish they had a store in Manhattan or Brooklyn. Sucks we have to make rough trek all the way to Yonkers. Need to get some Bean Boots for bike messaging in the winter.

While the clothes they sell may not be as durable as they used to make, they are still the most durable in their price class, and with their forever guarantee, I dont buy clothes anywhere else.
