The Quality of Stop & Shop is Far Beyond any other Supermarkets that Ive been to, except maybe in California. Deli-Dept., Fruits & Veggies, All Fresh as can be. The organization of the store is Excellant. The Sales help, Managers are friendly and really go out of their way to help you, today a woman manager showed to my item & found the best deal in town for me, always with a smile ! Even where the carts are outside the store provides Air Conditioning through their open roof for shoppers convenience and comfort. I would not shop anywhere else for my major shopping needs.

They consistently only operate one cashier in order to funnel customers to the very slow, frequently problematic self checkout machines. When they do open up a second human cashier, they always take the very last customer on line first, instead of the customer next in line who has waited longer but still not even gotten to the conveyor to empty their cart. When you point this out to the cashier and the manager, they dont seem to care and then they keep doing it the exact same way the next time (Ive seen this happen more than once).

The supermarket has a great bakery department in a great meat department deli department however they would benefit from having an easier checkout process it seems like its cluttered and takes a long time even for the self scanners in comparison to some of the newer supermarkets

Very poorly managed. Either they dont train their cashiers very well or they are holding on to cashiers that they shouldnt; that is the few cashiers that they keep (I agree with the other review that they are forcing you into the slow self checkout lanes)

Normally a fan of Stop & Shop but this is now the closest one to my house and it is very disappointing. Very limited selection of certain items. Like two flavors of pudding mix, no small bottles or store brand cider vinegar, etc..

Its quiet. Polite people. I live in plainview, so its not the closest, but i like shopping without the fear of being run over. Bakery section is great and they have nice veggies.

Seems to have the fewest number of cashiers for the busiest times. The self checkout machines have issues every time Ive visted. Inside is clean and well stocked.

Not enough cashiers to assist with self checkout when they fail. Three self checkouts registers needed attention. I checked out at register with a real cashier.
