We were looking to move 2 washer/dryer units between 3 houses, a week before the holiday with little notice. I had called multiple moving companies and was told outrageous prices and that the companies couldn’t get to it at such short notice. To say I was near tears is an understatement. I had used Rochester Appliance in the past to fix a stove and they were extremely helpful, so I figured I would call to see if they had the bolts for moving the front loader, and if they could recommend a moving company. Rebecca answered and gave me a Christmas miracle, she said they could get the bolts in the next day and they could move/hookup the units for me on the day of my choosing at a fraction of the price the moving companies wanted to charge. Did I also mention, the aforementioned moving companies said they couldn’t connect/disconnect the units, but this was included with Rochester Appliance? Ricki and Jake called me the morning of to schedule the time, and their original time didn’t fit with my schedule, so I asked if they could push it back a bit. They were extremely accommodating and showed up at my preferred time. They were top notch professional employees; not only were they polite but they ensured their feet were wiped before walking on my white carpets (a huge + in my book!). They unscrewed doors, and moved the washer and dryers out so I could take pictures before moving them to their final resting place. They also helped fix a dryer vent that wasn’t originally hooked up correctly, in addition to running all of the machines after hook up to ensure they were set up correctly. I deal with a lot of contractors, as we own a few properties and are always doing renovations, and these are by far the best contractors I have ever worked with. I would highly recommend them, in fact I already have recommended them to my family and friends. Rebecca, Ricki, Jake, and Rochester Appliance team, you guys are the best, and I really appreciate all of your help!

We have had great service from Rochetser Appliance on a number of occasions. The purchase and install of our dishwasher went smoothly. We love the machine. This is why we suggested my parents purchase a dishwasher from them also. Things went bad quickly. The installers did not test the dishwasher after the install. When the service gent was called a couple of days later he determined that it is a manufacturers defect. My parents were told that because Rochester Appliance was not certified to service Maytag (a brand they sell, and we were steered to by the sales person), my parents would have to call Maytag themselves, and arrange to have the new dishwasher repaired. It was only after I called and spoke with the owner in length that an offer to handle all of the calls and repairs was made. This poor customer service is something I would expect from a big box store. The owner stated that it would have cost him money to have taken care of replacing the defective product that he sold my parents, and that he was unwilling to assist in that way. If he had offered to take care of everything, and had arranged to have a Maytag certified repair person fix the issue instead of telling my parents to handle it themselves we would still be happy customers. Make sure you ask if they can service it before you buy. You could be left holding the bag if it doesnt work when it shows up.

Great experience with Rochester Appliance so far, I own investment properties and previously waited for sales at lowes/home depot for appliances, and even once shopped at arctic appliance (please, NEVER shop at arctic!) Rochester Appliance was great! I bought a fridge, they delivered it, turns out I missed the back of it being a little to deep and had to get a different one. They picked it up (yes there is a restock fee of 10%, but it was my fault and 10% is generally fair for the work done to pick it up.) the delivery guy was super nice both times, and their store associates. The 1 year warranty on used appliances is awesome, hopefully I wont have any issues but if I do, and if they handle it in a professional manner they can count on years of business from me for all my investment properties! The one negative thing I would say is their cost to bring the appliance in is a little high. Drop off on the curb or driveway is free, but to take it into the house is, I believe $55, a little bit steep. I would be willing to accept $30 for a basic drop-off. Something being delivered to second floor or a basement I could see paying $45 or $50. If you walk into the house and you are in the kitchen for a fridge or stove, $55 is just to much.

I own a R366 Wolf stove from 2007. Rochester Appliance was the third appliance repair service i hired to fix my Wolf stove in October 2014. I use my Wolf stove all the time and the 6 burners were attempting to ignite when all 6 red handles were in the off position. Found out i needed a new ignition module ($170). After that was installed, my oven would not come on. The ignition module had nothing to do with the oven. Turns out i also needed an ignition module for the oven. The price quotes i was getting for parts and labor was ridiculous. I have purchased used appliances from Rochester Appliance in the past and i gambled that maybe they had a decent repair guy. So everything turned out because i got Jon Mayback who has great commercial appliance experience and parts were reasonable. Long story but when you own a $5000 Wolf stove, it is easy to get ripped off when you need it repaired.

I must say, I was disappointed when Dean from Rochester Appliance was not coming to service my leaky washing machine; but John filled his shoes extremely well !!!! John was very pleasant and very friendly and I immediately felt very comfortable with him. John was very courteous and also very knowledgeable in his field. To my surprise, my problem was a minor one, but John came up with a fix to make my washer stop leaking. John was also very clean and neat as he worked as well as cleaning his work area when he was finished. He even went over and above and fixed one of my personal tools !!!! Now really, who takes the time to do that ?!?! The price was also right too !!!! Couldnt of asked for a better technician or a better price !!! I hope I do not need another repair soon, but if I do I will certainly call Rochester Appliance and request John !!!!

John Mayback from Rochester Appliance came to diagnose the grinding and leaking in my Front-loader Washing Machine. From beginning to end Jon was polite, and and professionally efficient. He took a minute with my yappy-dogs, who quickly accepted him. Jon took a picture of the pump with a hole in it and showed it to me. I authorized the repair and he left and returned with a replacement pump in 20 minutes. He had it installed in 30 minutes, and he tested the repair: No more grinding and leaking. When he left, the work area was as clean as when he arrived. The cost was much less than I expected. With other repair services, I have paid a whole lot more, and gotten a whole lot less. I am happy to recommend this young man, and the company that employs him. Ruth
