I went there tonight right before closing and stood patiently waiting to place an order. The same order I get at least 3 times a week. The amazing canoli donut. Well tonight thee rude older lady that was working there said to me while I was standing there patiently waiting. I will be with u in a minute stop being so impatient I see you over there. So I said Im sorry mam if thats how you feel I was just patiently waiting for you to finish. I was reading all the flyers and papers. She then muttered profanity under her breathe and so I decided that my favorite donut isnt worth her rude attitude and mouth towards me. They lost my business and thats sad because I was in there at least 3 times a week. I will NEVER EVER GO THERE AGAIN. THE RUDE OLDER LADY AT THE COUNTER RUINED IT. I WILL BE CALLING MANAGEMENT TOMORROW WITH MY COMPLAINT. I WALKED OUT AND AS I WAS WALKING OUT SHE CONTINUED TO MUTTER PROFANITY UNDER HER BREATH. ITS QUITE SAD. I WILL NEVER RETURN.

The donuts are delicious. I just wish that the attendant would be as sweet. Well, dont get me wrong, she was sweet to her other clients but the various times I have been in this place, I have noticed discrimination towards certain races. You can really see the difference in the treatment of "their clients" and a different race. The lady was rude from the very beginning to my husband and I. I wanted to give her back the bags of donuts and remind her that God created us all equal. I wanted to behave civilized, so I kept the bags of donuts and we went on our way. Well, one thing for sure is, we will not go back there. Also notice a while ago that they have a "now hiring" sign and I suggested my son to go apply there, but I am %100 sure that he will not get hired. Once they see his name theyll know he doesnt qualify. I am really sad about this, thats why I decided to write this review...

I get breakfast here irregularly. The counter staff are friendly and efficient. They actually do most of the breakfast cooking themselves on a tiny griddle behind the counter. The place is justifiably more famous for the doughnuts, though. The line can be long so theres some pressure to order quickly, which is hard given the selection. Even if you know the standards, there are always specials. Instead of dealing with that, I just order a couple doughnuts from my waitress before I pay my check. Alternatively, to avoid being rushed, just stand to the side to check the selection, then get in line when you know what you want.

In Rochester, where there are only a handful of mom and pop donut shops left, this one is the best. They are clearly hand crafted and made fresh throughout the day. Heavy, crunchy, glazey sweet donuts and coffee! They also have lighter ones, frosted ones, jelly ones and some awesome custom flavors too like buttermilk, cherry, cider, and blueberry fry cakes, chocolate raspberry swirl, just to name a few. and I love that they are open later in the day too. Prices are reasonable too. Much recommended!

Their apple fritters are to die for! Down side of this place however is when i went in for the first time to buy donuts I asked the lady who assisted me which donuts are popular or which ones she prefers and she responded "I dont know I dont eat them" so maybe someone should teach her how to upsell product. It is sketchy having an employee tell ne they dont eat the donuts at a donut shop. Makes me think perhaps the donuts arent any good or a reason for not trying.

Love this place, best place in Rochester for doughnuts of any kind. Always fresh, always delicious, always flavours Ive never thought of. Frequently visit this place probably once a month and never had a bad experience. They do have a minimum for credit cards which typically isnt an issue but with a couple doughnuts and a drink it was hard to get above the minimum. Cash is preferred here for low cash sales.

This is an old school doughnut/coffee counter. The doughnuts here are the best in Rochester. I personally LOVE the jelly square and peanut butter & jelly doughnuts. They are $1.15 if you buy a single doughnut or $9/dozen. I know that seems a bit steep, but they are large, fresh, and not at all filled with air. You only need one :) Totally worth going out of your way for.

Apple fritters and pumpkin doughnuts were amazing and lived up to the hype. The cream filled doughnut however was crunchy and disgusting. And the service was very rude. I felt like I was doing something wrong when I was just trying to buy a box of doughnuts. Maybe Im crazy, but I thought that was okay when at a doughnut shop. :o)

The donuts are huge! Theyre NOT greasy! One is enough to fill a normal human. However being the gluttonous pig that I am, Ive been known to suck back 3 of these donuts in one sitting, I just cant stop! I recently learned theyll freshly make you a cannoli filled donut upon request! A MUST EAT AT JOINT!

Went here to get donuts for my staff for National Donut Day and we were not disappoited. I had a warm apple fritter that was amazing- slightly crisp outside with a fluffy moist interior. Everyone loved them. The service was friendly and quick. Will definitely go back. Nom nom nom

The cashier, the older blonde, was very rude and nasty when I asked her a question. She served all the Caucasian customers, then when I came up she called over the other cashier to take care of me. I will never go there again after dealing with that type of racism.

These donuts are nuggets of pure delight. These donuts can cure everything from depression to erectile dysfunction at a fraction of the cost of deadly prescription drugs. Side effects may include excessive salivation, obesity and disturbing doughnut dreams.

Classic no frills very reasonably priced fair. Theyre cinnamon buns are reminiscent of mom and pop donut shops of yesteryear Dont ask for a refill on your soda however...the owner will look at you as if you have two heads and claim to go broke.

The best donut in the city is there, right now, waiting to be eaten. I suggest the fritter, fastnacht and chocolate glazed. I use these donuts as peacemaking tools and to thank helpful movers.

Best donuts in Rochester: best size, best taste and sometimes theyll go in the back and fix you one, if its not on the shelf. In my opinion there is no competition; Ridge donuts the best around!
