I dont ever write reviews and when I do theyre normally good ones, but my experience here was atrocious. If I could give this shop 0 stars I would. After reading reviews online I was sure that this is where I wanted to go for my first tattoo. Unfortunately you cant trust everything you read on the internet. I made an appointment with Scott 6 months in advance with a deposit, and sent him ideas for my design months before my appointment. I called multiple times when it was a few weeks away to get to see the design and make sure I liked it. When I finally heard back from Scott, he assured me that he received my ideas and had drawn up a sketch for me. After requesting to see the sketch, I didnt hear back from anyone at the shop until about 2 days before my appointment to tell me it was canceled. They rescheduled for later the next week and the night before the rescheduled date, they canceled again. After rescheduling a second time, I still hadnt seen the design. I was told multiple times I would be emailed the sketch or that I could come down and take a look at it. When no emails arrived, I went to the shop to check it out, and again, I was out of luck. After all this headache youd think Id just give up but I gave Scott the benefit of the doubt. The morning of my 3rd attempt at an appointment, a message finally arrived on my phone containing the elusive sketch. I opened the attachment and stared in shock as a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT design then I had discussed and given pictures and ideas for stared back at me. Im not saying there were elements that I wanted changed, it was actually a totally different concept! As if I had asked for a picture of a car and got one of an airplane. At that point it became comical and I just had to cancel my appointment. My experience with Alchemy Tattoo Arts was horrible and I wouldnt recommend it to anyone. I almost didnt go through with getting a tattoo after such a terrible experience. How would I describe this place? Unprofessional and a waste of my time. The worst part was, I didnt even get an apology. If you want to be treated as a valued customer and with respect, AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

When you walk in to this shop, you immediately think "Oh boy, Im in over my head" However the moment Scott or Chris come out and greet you with a smile and a friendly "Hello", you get a feeling of comfort and sincerity. Most tattoo shops are incredibly intimidating and almost a bit pretentious. This is absolutely not the case for Alchemy Tattoo Arts. The BEST experience you will ever find on the island. You cant help but feel at ease as you speak to the artists. They have such a sense of understanding what youre looking to do and an immense amount of pride in their work. Youll never find two guys that care more about the work that they do. They settle for nothing less than the best and it shows. Both Scott and Chris make you feel like youve been close friends since childhood. You cant beat that with a with a whiffle ball bat.

Alchemy Tattoo is one of the best tattoo shops on Long Island. Scott and Chris run a clean, friendly, and overall fantastic shop. The atmosphere is outstanding and the artwork speaks for itself, never once have I had a bad experience at Alchemy. Chris and Scott are hands down two of the best tattoo artists in the New York/Long Island area. Both Chris and Scott are extremely approachable and work with you during the entire creative process, giving honest and candid feedback on your ideas and concerns. I never once felt pressured or disappointed with how my ideas/artwork was handled. If you want to feel like a valued client and get some great work done, go to one of the best tattoo shops in the New York/Long Island area and go to Alchemy Tattoo.

Scott and Chris by far have the best tattoo shop on Long Island. These guys not only love what they do, but their attention to detail, ability to listen and collaborate with their clients, and knowledge of their craft make them one step above all of the rest. Scott is super meticulous with his work, making sure everything is absolutely perfect before ink comes to skin. These guys are personable, friendly, and make you feel super comfortable from start to finish. Not to mention they make you laugh a lot too. You actually have fun here. You can tell that they put so much pride into every piece they do. I get compliments all the time on how much detail is in my piece and how great it looks...I cant wait to get my next one done by these guys!!

What can I say..If you are looking for a quality Tattoo shop with Quality artists look no further than Alchemy Tattoo Arts. The "BEST" tattoo shop on Long Island. I personally was looking for a unique and different piece for my back to be done and Scott Trerrotola the owner of the establishment more than delivered on the artwork. From beginning to end the thought process and work was more than exceptional.The work on my back was the best and totally outstanding. Scott is the master when it comes to Black and Grey tattoos hands down. People I have shown my back piece to have marvelled at the detail and overall QUALITY of the work..If you are looking for honesty and quality then Alchemy is the place to go.You are in good hands with them.

Ive known Scott for almost 7 years and has done most of the work on my body. He is always constantly looking to improve his craft and his passion certainly reflects in his work. Aside from being an extremely talented artist, he is great with service. One appointment I had fell right after a huge snow storm. I had no issues on my end to get over to the shop but I knew he was hit hard. He called me up and reassured me he would be there despite the terrible conditions. Between service and talent, he has arguably one of the best tattoo shops in New York. Make sure you book your appointment way ahead; slots fill up quick.

In my opinion Alchemy is the Best Shop in NY. The atmosphere of the shop is great and the original artwork in the shop is really impressive. Most importantly Scott and Chris are both awesome artists. The tattoo that Scott did for me is easily the best piece I have. The detail is amazing and the colors are really deep. Scott gave a comic image (I have captain america and the red skull on my leg) a dimension of realism that I doubt many people could have pulled off. Also, between the music and a really light touch, sitting for long sessions is a breeze at this place. Ill be going back soon to get more work done.

Alchemy Tattoo Arts is absolutely the best tattoo shop in NY. Artists Scott and Chris are incredibly talented in not only creating amazing art but putting it on your skin in a way that heals quick and looks great year after year. The feel of the shop is ultra cool, super clean, comfortable & totally professional. Whenever Im there Im given 100% personal attention by the artist & staff; they treat me like a friend sharing in the passion of art & tattooing rather than just another "client". Ive gotten my last 5 tattoos at ATA and cant wait to go back.
