Yumiko is a dancers dream- custom leotards, made exactly how want them. The store is small but brightly lit, with leotards lining the walls. The employees are friendly and will offer suggestions on building your leo but wont push you. The selection of colors, styles, and fabrics is fantastic- but you can always choose a ready-made leotard as well. I went there to choose a leotard for someone else and the employees were gregarious and chatted with me as we worked together to create the perfect gift. A must for any dancer visiting New York!

Every time I come in the sales women are rude, but last time was the worst. She told my daughter who was looking through the leotards helping her big sister, not to touch. Im sorry but if a leotard cant handle being touched, they shouldnt cost $100+. My little one already has several yumikos, but after that I knew she wouldnt have any more. If she cant touch them then I guess she cant try them on.
