I found all of the comments in the reviews below to be true upon my visit except for one. I too started looking at the t-shirts and was quickly chastised for "touching" them. I was promptly instructed not to touch any of the t-shirts but rather to browse all of them from a rack and then let them know my selection. Once I picked it, the guy was nice enough to fetch them for me however apparently checking me out is another persons job. I had to wait at the counter until the "gal" came up to ring up my very overpriced T-shirts. I have been in Harley stores all over this country and this store does not have that "Harley" image that national has worked so hard to build. Willie G and company would be appalled. I also called them before I came to find out their hours and whomever answered the phone was extremely unfriendly. I have to say while this was my first experience in New York and I spent several hours shopping and visiting the sites, the only poor behavior I encountered was at this store so my compliments to the rest of the New Yorkers that were kind, helpful and wonderful, I will be back to see them again. I am a Harley rider and have been for 10 years and I can finally say this has been the worst store I have ever been in. Over priced, small to non existent selection for clothing and poor personnel.

While visiting (out of Rotterdam - The Netherlands) NYC for (amongst others) business, I tried to locate a HD store to obtain some apparel for my brother (the real biker in the family). I came across HD of NY and read some of the abusive reviews on this page. I decided to take a look for myself, because basing ones opinion on someone elses is in general ill advised at best. So I went there just before closing time and anticipated difficulties....Boy was I wrong! I was greeted very friendly and I had a nice chat. Nothing bad to report here. Moreover I would rate the experience - and the nice woman over there really took all the time that I needed - a big fat A. I mentioned the bad reviews and she acknowledged the fact - about the reviews that is. She asked me if I was afraid to come in just prior to entering the store, but I shook my head and said that I am not put off by these things. So we had a nice laugh together. The store is not that big, but it is definitely nicely organized and they really do have a lot to offer. The price is right and the paying really did not reflect badly on the experience. I would really recommend visiting this store. It is in the vicinity of Central Park, so there is really no reason not to go if you are on a sight seeing tour of NY.

Rude and unfriendly staff! Itens overpriced!! Detestei o lugar! Corrigindo: Detestei a equipe!

Im not sure how this dealer is still in business. I had a close friend and fellow rider tell me to not bother going here and I also read the reviews before I went. Well, I went against all that and went anyway and I feel like I wasted my time. The prices were astronomical, even for items like their poker chips. The dealer in Lower Manhattan gives a price break when you buy chips but not this one. I was followed by one and sometimes two people the whole time I was in the store, as if I was there to steal something. I was their lone customer. I asked about shirts and sizes and was told not to touch them but instead let them know what style and size I wanted and they would get it for me. i dont think this store is a very good representative of the Harley Davidson brand. The location is decent in relation to Times Square and tourist traffic but they do nothing to help themselves be successful. The staff was not friendly or engaging at all. If this dealer is owned by the same people as the other Manhattan location, it should be managed in a similar fashion.

The woman working there kept trying to sell me helmets that didnt fit. She kept pushing for bigger and looser sizes because she was worried that the correct ones didnt look right. This individual was willing to compromise my safety for her opinion on looks. She also tried using features like skull logos instead of product details like construction to sell stuff. This individual also tried telling me that she had a bigger selection than the main dealership in Long Island City, which is a much better stocked and much bigger store. One helmet was marked as $500 in store, $325 on the H-D official website, and $215 elsewhere. That kind of mark-up is just unjustifiable. Ill go to the store to look at products and check how something fits, but never buy anything there.

The salespeople in this store were snotty, Ill have to say this was the most disappointing part of our trip. The merchandise was great, the sales help sucked. We werent even so much as greeted when we walked in the door, it wasnt until I had pulled a folded shirt off the wall that I was even acknowledged, then to only rudely be told that all the shirts were on display, hanging on the rack. Hey, how about saying hello when a customer walks in the store & telling them that up front?
