Please see additional review below (2014)I called to make an appointment to bring my car in for some warranty work prior to my warranty expiring. I talked to the service adviser and explained each item in detail(5 items). She put me on hold and when she came back on explained to me that she checked with her Manager and that because these are cosmetic issues I have to take it back to my selling dealer. (I guess a brake issue and two other items that have TSB issued on them for fixes are cosmetic.) Which is 200 miles away. Ive moved to the area a short time ago. She stated that She didnt agree with what she told me but there is nothing they can do for me. I asked if I bought the car in Alaska I would have to bring it back to Alaska and there was no comment from Her. I also stated that we have had work done at this dealership Prior and no issues. I was not a new customer to this dealership. I will never go back and will never recommend SS AUTO to anyone!!!!!!!! The car was fixed two days later at Blevins in Massena, NY. Stay away, stay Far Away!!! I thought I should update my review of SS Auto. I have to use Dodge because of my companies fleet vehicles purchases. My first time using them for warranty repair they were unable to diagnosis the noise. She stated "that they would need more time but they just had two technicians quit and cant do warranty repair. We dont know how long it will be you would be better off gong to another dealer. When I went to pickup the vehicle. Even some employees standing behind the counter heard it. HMMMM. This is sounding all too familiar. Vehicle was diagnosis/repaired at another dealer without issues. A couple of months later, a bunch of our vehicles needed warranty recalls performed. I reluctantly called them, they got me in and repaired without issue. Fast forward another couple of months I received notice of recall on 4 vehicles. 2 vehicles were hard part replacements the other 2 were computer re-flashes. I called and scheduled an appointment about 2 weeks out to make sure the parts department had the required part on hand or ordered. I checked with them 1 wk before the appointment and they stated the part was not in yet, but should be. After dropping the vehicle off I received a phone call stating that the truck was ready to be picked-up, we will order the parts needed and call you when they come in. I stated that the parts needed were ordered 2 weeks ago when I originally set-up the appointment. She stated "that the parts are auto shipped and they will arrive when Dodge ships them to them". She stated that "she will send a email to the District Manager to see if she can get the parts shipped sooner." I checked every week for 3 weeks for a update on parts each time we have no update on time frame for the parts delivery. I needed to get one of the other vehicles scheduled for a re-flash. I called and talked to Hope "she stated that they dont work on these vehicles and have to go to another dealer". The conversation from her seemed liked I have NEVER talked/contacted them before. After being taken back by what she said we discussed that you have done 5 vehicles prior with no issue!!! I asked about the part that is ordered for the other truck, Hope stated "this is most likely why we have not received the part for the other vehicle, I will send an email to my district manager to check about this issue". I called the next day and was told yes the district manager said we dont work on these type of vehicles". I reiterated that you have worked on many of these vehicle before are you not getting paid by Dodge"? She stated "we could be but I dont see the charge-backs from Dodge." Sorry for the long reviews. I have spoken with other service departments from Plattsburg to Potsdam. They all said "they(SS Auto) doesnt fix anything anymore" I thought it would be better to spell things out so everyone got a clear picture of the service department. This isnt a one time review its multiple interactions over a year.

Great experience. Was treated fairly and honestly. I got an unbeatable deal on 2012 RAM 1500. No other car dealership from saranac to massena offered me a lifetime power train warranty like Chad at S and S did. Dont know how anyone could have a bad experience here but I think they may have new management now which could explain my good deal. Plan to stay customer for life.
