I just dropped off beautiful, clean, pressed and dry-cleaned clothes as well as many other items from books to DVDs, shoes, wallets, etc to the Salvation Army on Troy Schenectady Rd in Latham NY and was disgusted and appalled to see what a mess the outside drop off is. As a Nurse and Health educator I was sick to think what is "growing" such as molds and spores as well as bacteria in the merchandise as well as what disease ridden rodenst could be lurking in the copious piles and bins . You have to know all of the items/clothes were in the rain last night and probably for weeks or months. When I said I have nice clean clothes on hangers and in dry cleaning bags ( I dry cleaned sweaters for you) and hate throwing them on the pile next to all the "garbage" the young man said "Yeah I have to get cleaning" . I think he needs lots of help. I will donate to other underserved collection areas ($ and items) as this was sickening. Lynn Horn

prior to purchasing a tv with vhs player, i asked the cashier if the tv had been tested,,,,she said yes, i then asked if the vhs player had been tested she said yes. so i paid 14.03 for the machine i plugged it in the next day and the machine rejected the vhs tape and unwound it...ruined thinking it may have been a faulty tape i plugged in another tape that too was ruined. i brought the machine bank an was told by the supervision that they only turn on the machine to see if it lights up. not even do they find a program or not even do they see if the tape works. len schleicher po box 1462 troy ny 12181

Really excellent thrift store in a brand new location. This place has expanded to include several racks for plus size tops, bottoms & such (compared to other stores where there is only one or 2 racks of plus size clothes). Wednesdays different color tagged items are half off (it varies each week) and this is when I usually go. The last Wednesday I went I was able to find over $100 worth of clothing for myself and my mother for around $50. Well worth the trip! :)

The store is very nice. Clean and the merchandise was very nice. However, I feel that their prices was a bit high. These items are donated to them. I know they are non-profit and I know they do have employees to pay and buildings to maintain. However,the prices I still fill are high. Also, when I looked at a curtain it was marked one price and was half price that day the matching curtain was marked $4.00 higher and was not 1/2 price. They was on the same hanger.

Prices are insanely high! A simple used pair of Wrangler mens jeans are $12-$15 bucks. You can get the same pair BRAND NEW at Walmart for cheaper than that. The store used to be affordable before this new manager took over recently. I miss how it used to be!

After several visits leaving empty handed, its not a place for me. Prices are high, mostly clothes, but they do have nice furniture..... priced at retail.

Way over priced, store is packed full cant move stuff on the racks, staff talks about personal lives at register instead of worrying about the customers

Find great name brands with tags even new. I go family day 1/2 off 3 colors. Overpriced a bit but ok
