As part of a large family, I try to shop thrift and resale stores often. I grew up shopping thrift stores, and since moving to Amsterdam in 2011, I have visited the Goodwill Superstore multiple times. My experiences there have not been great. The store itself is dirty and not well-maintained. The pre-owned clothing is often worn-out or stained and should not have been accepted as donations. The local retail stores do donate some excellent quality merchandise fairly regularly. The prices are similar to what you would pay at Walmart for brand-new items. Ive actually found items donated by Target listed for the exact same price Target was selling the item for a week prior! The customer service is very poor: Ive had repeated difficulty finding associates when I need the fitting rooms unlocked; Ive had associates give me a hard time about my purchases ("This item doesnt look as if its priced correctly. I need to have my manager look at this." when all I did was pull it off the rack); and Ive had associates decide to bust me for the 3-item limit in the fitting room while Im bringing several of my kids in with me and trying to select clothing for purchase. Because of my repeated poor shopping experiences at Goodwill Superstore, I no longer waste my time or money at this establishment.

My father goes here pretty often, never has issues. I go every now and again, I never have issues. Goodwill is what youd expect, the items are all donations obviously, the prices are all actually under retail, how people say things here are expensive is kind of odd, but Amsterdam being the welfare town that it is, I can only assume theyre trying to save more of their checks for the drugs being sold in the city. As far as it goes, the staff arent bad to work with, the store itself isnt falling apart, and the things you find inside are priced so that if you are in need, you can actually obtain things for yourself or family without putting yourself into a worse money situation. 4 stars.

First off let me say that the best Goodwill that Ive been in is in Rome, Ga. Secondly, most of the products for sale in this particular Goodwill were close to retail price, if not retail or even overpriced. I attempted to purchase a toy for my daughter that had a price of .99 and was quickly told that it was the wrong price and a few minutes later was told it was $10. Seriously? No thanks. Ill wait to go back to Georgia and shop at the better Goodwill.

Worst goodwill Ive ever been in. The selection was fine. Everything that was worth getting was proved WAY too high. Looked at buying settlers of catan the board game. Asking 24.99, brand new retail was 22.99 online. The store "was unable" to come off the price.

RIDICULOUS prices!!!! There was this one robot that has been here for like months. I look at it again today and the box is ripped up and torn apart. It is $45!!!! Kinda ridiculous!

One of the biggest goodwill stores I have been to, so they have a lot of stuff. Prices are not bad but youd figure they would be cheaper since they are all donated.

Decent prices if you look around, alot of the cloths are name brand at Walmart prices. Not the tidest place and some times the cashiers are butts.

A little pricy for used clothes and shoes might as well go to a regular store and buy them new instead.

Shame on Good Will for charging outrageous prices on stuff they get for free. What a racket...
