On 11/25/15, I placed an order for four tires. Literally ten minutes later I requested cancellation of said order because I realized they were the wrong size. I called customer service right then to ask about how the cancellation request works. I was told it would take 24 hours to process the request and I should get an email saying if the request went through or if my items were being shipped. I was also told that my card would not be charged until the items shipped. I called back ten minutes after this after I realized that my card had in fact been charged over $200. I was told from a different rep that there was nothing to do about it because it was a hold on my bank account as a "promise to pay" for the items that I wanted to cancel anyway! So I call back on Saturday 11/28/15, after receiving no email whatsoever about anything going on. This rep decided to put a remedy ticket in for me since we had no idea what was going on with the order or my money. Was told that I would get an email with more info on the remedy ticket. Called back Sunday 11/29/15, after STILL RECEIVING NO EMAILS FROM WALMART ABOUT ANYTHING UNDER THE SUN. Was told that the girl who gave me the remedy ticket should have told me it takes 48 hours to get an email. I say ok I will wait some more. Called back Wednesday 12/2/15, STILL NO EMAILS FROM WALMART. It has now been a week with absolutely no contact. Was told by another rep that the remedy ticket department is backed up because of the holidays and someone will contact me once they get my ticket which is inevitable because they follow the order that the tickets come in. Checked my bank account balance on 12/4/15, and the $200 charge was gone so I figured everything had been taken care of and the order had been cancelled. STILL NO EMAIL FROM WALMART. Apparently this was my mistake in thinking everything was ok. So i ordered four new tires in the right size. Fast forward to 12/8/15, my bank account has been charged the $200 again for the tires I tried to cancel and over $200 for the new tires I ordered. My bank account balance is negative from the incompetance of the Walmart associates I dealt with and the company itself with the policies it apparently does not have in place. I call customer service (12/8/15) and am told there is nothing I can do because both sets of tires have been shipped. I have to wait for them to arrive at my store and I cant even start a return until the money clears out of my account. Then I will have to wait for the money to go back into my account, which at this rate will probably never happen. They had over a week to cancel my order. It really should not be this hard. I tried to cancel it ten minutes after I placed the order! And along the whole way was led to believe that I was following all the steps to ensure my order would be cancelled. I dont have money just sitting around and now my bank account is negative and I will probably be charged an overdraft fee as well. I am extremely dissatisfied with Walmarts customer service and will never be shopping there again. Oh yeah, plus I STILL HAVE NO EMAILS FROM WALMART. Not even a notification of shipping. What a joke.

This is easily the worst Walmart Ive ever been to. Other reviews mention that its not kept very clean, but thats a nonissue compared to the atrocious management of this store. There does not appear to be anyone in charge of inventory here. If you cant find an item in stock once, twice, a few times, it can be chalked up to bad luck, but this Walmart runs out of stock of so many things with such regularity that you could guarantee an incomplete shopping list on each visit. I have come away empty-handed in such varied departments as grocery, toy, auto care, clothing, housewares, hygiene products, and appliances, just off the top of my head. I have even used the Walmart website to specifically confirm in-store availability at this location before driving over to make the purchase, and been informed upon arrival that theyre out of stock. And the employees are no help in these cases - if the item is not staring at you from the shelf, you do not get assistance checking the inventory record or the physical stock in the warehouse. I have also ended up discovering my purchases were faulty more than a handful of times, from spoiled foods to broken dishes. I once bought a gallon of chocolate milk - well ahead the of the sell-by date of course - and had a glass when I got home only to discover it was sour! I drove immediately back to make the return, and was told by a regular employee to wait for a manager. I stood there like a fool with that gallon jug for twenty minutes before giving up the $4.50 as lost and driving home. I left the jug of sour milk on the unattended counter at the store. Finally, as other reviewers have pointed out, this store is egregious about manning its registers. If you come during the day, the checkout aisles are packed as with any Walmart, so that cannot be held against them here. The real effrontery happens in the evening, when all but two registers are closed (including the self-checkouts, amazingly!) and the lines queue way down the length of the store. And Im not talking about a 2am timeframe here, Im talking about 9-11pm. I have yet to experience a new register opening in response to these circumstances. Again, the management of this Walmart location is beyond incompetent. They are incapable of staying on top of their inventory demands and they dont know how to match staff to customer turnout. If I could have given 0 stars, I would have. The saving grace here is that most of the individual employees are kind and try to be helpful. But a headless body, even a kind one, cannot accomplish much.

A few weeks ago I walked into this Walmart and made a $600 purchase of an Xbox one and a game. A few weeks later the controller stopped working properly (The controller is in perfect condition and was not damaged). I called up to see if I could receive a replacement controller and they told me only if it was within 2 weeks of the original purchase date. I just feel a huge company like Walmart should be held accountable for selling broken electronics to their customers. I have also shopped here on a regular basis and me and my family have always joked about it being the most garbage service youll receive from any store. The shelves sometimes look so bare its embarrassing and I feel like they always have about 2-4 less registers open then there should be. Over 50 employees in the store and thousands of weekly shoppers and theyll have 5 registers open. Now lets switch gears and talk about the employees. I have never seen such an uneducated bunch of do nothing slackers. I understand Walmart is a low paying establishment but with the job market so poor I find it hard to believe that there isnt more quality employees in the city of Kingston. Ultimately we are all slaves to shopping at Walmart because of the affordability of the products in tough economic times but I ask myself why a company with huge gross profits and an abundance of employees cant find a winning formula to providing quality customer service.
