Walmart is Walmart no matter where you go, unfortunately the staff at this location make the DMV look like a 5 star hotel. I called into customer service to ask for the status of an order and was repeatedly transferred to a ringing line no answer. After 3 calls and 60 minutes of trying to reach someone in the pick up area I gave up and asked the operator for a manager. As soon as I asked for a manager the call was disconnected, I called again and asked for her name, as per this representative that is against company policy. Again I asked to speak to a manager I was placed on hold for about 2 minutes she picked up and a hung up again. Calls placed at 2:58 pm and 3:05 pm 11/11/15. I called again and asked to speak to a manager and was placed on hold for 16 minutes and at no point was ever checked on to see if I was still on the line. I eventually spoke to an assistant manager who was courteous and took care of my extremely simple issue. I could not report who at this establishment was responsible for hanging up on my two separate times. It took me 5 phone calls and over 2 hours just to check the status of a store pick up item. Unacceptable, I have managed customer service centers, call centers and large medical offices throughout my career. If one of my representatives treated anybody the way I was treated today they would be suspended or terminated that same day. Just thought you should be aware of the type of people you have representing your company on the telephone.

This place is what upsets me about my Hispanic Culture, the place is messy because of the the rude people that visit, and you can tell Walmart could care less because they dont staff it properly and you can go at 8pm or 3am and wait an hour plus to get through the lines which is sometimes one or two lines. I was a fan when I went to a Walmart in Farmville VA. Was happy when the store showed up now I am pissed because now I find myself driving longer since they killed the local supermarkets just to find a quick alternative. I frankly rather pay more just not to deal with the, and I apologize for the ghettoness of this store. i have literally seen a family eat a roasted chicken waiting in line then leave the scaps without paying because the lines were so long. I didnt say nothing about it because how long I waited for one item on line, I figured good for them they should staff it better. I am handicap, dont get me started on the fact that the idiots that shop there assume handicap spots are where you dump your carts off. So parking requires you to stop get out the car and do Walmarts job of clearing the handicap spots of carts and one time I couldnt because there was like 10 carts blocking the spots. I can careless about the great prices if the whole experience from the moment you enter till you leave just plan sucks. I rather pay more and have less to eat deal with this Walmart!!!

Worst Walmart in the area. Went there looking for an item and was told it was not available. Almost 2 hours later after constantly asking and waiting they came up out of nowhere with 2. When I asked where the other 3 items were they kept saying they didn’t have any and “happen” to find those 2 on a desk. It was pretty obvious they were either not really looking or attempting to keep the other items for themselves and sell it for approx. 4 times the price due to the discontinuation. Their stories kept changing as far as where those two were found and as a last resort, the assistant manager said she would take our information down in case she came across the item. Less than 2 hours later it said on the third party website that they just sold the last 3 items. This is a very common practice among retail stores, however didn’t expect Walmart to do the same. Then again, I guess this is the same store that never answers their phone and have some pretty disgruntle people working there. If an item is hard to find, definitely better off at Best Buy or Target. A lot more honest people there.

Dear Walmart Shoppers, The Walmart in Garfield NJ is by far the worst walmart I have ever been to. Firstly, a majority of the staff has a very rude way of speaking and dealing with their customers. They should take resumes when decided who to hire or not. Especially when choosing managers. I believe her name is Nadia, one of the store managers. Rude to the max, absolutely no patience, let alone social skills. Walmart should reconsider her out of everyone since she is a so called manager. (Cannot manage to smile, speak in a friendly tone, display patience towards customers, and the best part is she literally, and I quote, used these directs words towards a guest, not an employee, a guest, Youre wasting my time, I have a lot of things to do ! " )Before revisiting this Walmart, I would make sure they hire a friendlier staff that will actually take time and help a guest out with their need. After all, it is their job, if they cannot follow through with a little kindness, what are yoi

This seems to be the only remaining 24 hour Walmart. I wont make a weekly trip to this store based on just having to to pay that toll from NY to NJ. But if I was closer this would be my go to store of choice. But let me tell you this is the best Walmart that I have gone to. The service there is decent. I havent yet run into a nasty or unwilling to help employee. Then again I havent interacted with staff other than at check out. They would have gotten a 5 star if I was able to say their service is friendly and efficient. But Ive had nasty experiences at other locations. The place is always clean and organized. Its a large store and they do a great job maintaining cleanliness as well as organized shelves. The price tags match the items and are correct. Ive seen some other stores that are very dysfunctional. Best part: they always have what Im looking for. So far the best Walmart in my opinion.

This store is not exactly located in a high income rich neighborhood, yet the prices are marked up higher than at any other Walmart. How could they get away with this?? Has anyone noticed the difference in the Prices between the Secaucus Walmart and Garfield Walmart store??? Why is everything much cheaper in Secaucus??? Maybe they think we really need their store and stuff and that we are stupid enough to pay their inflated prices.. well I told the store manager I would never shop in his store because of this, he said he had nothing to do with setting the prices and that in his words "corporate headquarters determines the prices" . Hey Mr. Walton! Guess what??? We noticed your higher prices and we are not shopping in your store until you lower them. Talk about idiots, they are making billions, and want to rip off the people in poor neighborhoods who work 3 jobs to make ends meet.
