Great place, a veritable supermarket / wishlist for the handyman. Like the old Radio Shack was to an electronics hobbyist, this place is hard to get out of without buying something that youre sure youll need someday. Some products arent professional quality, but some are better than available at other sources at any price. For example, I got plastic parts boxes more thoughtfully designed than those at Home Depot. A selection of affordable shrink tubing thats hard to find anywhere. Great "hockey puck" magnetic/hangable LED lights much cheaper than at a computer superstore, etc. (and often on sale). On the other hand, their cheap moving blankets wreaked of some solvent (requiring two washes before gone). Their cheap grounded female A/C cord connectors have one problem -- lousy connection with what you plug into them. But for most items, my rule of thumb is this: Most of their products are entirely sound and suitable at least for light duty or infrequent use, and many are just as good as what youll buy elsewhere for more. Why overpay for durability for a project youll do only once? (If youre not an auto mechanic, how often will you use that torque wrench?) And, maybe its the hours or days that I shop, or the particular location, but Ive found their personnel to be helpful and patient, and the lines were not long.

Okay Location; at least convenient to residents of Nassau & Queens, Decent Staff, Somewhat Friendly, Cooperative & Patient, Cashiers dont seem enthusiastic, but are willing to work with customers needs; this is the only location where employees lure you into buying their Inside Club Membership, not worth it at all. Not all items are readily stocked. Some are in the back of the store yet to be restocked and some need to be requested through the managers, just not worth the time and effort. Management needs to seriously consider hiring more people to keep this location up and running.

Honestly, why does anyone go to this store? I only come when I absolutely need something and harbor freight is the only store near that I can go to desperately. Every time the line is either super long or just super slow. There is never enough people servicing checkout line. 90% of the customers are standing in the line. I came to buy a combo lock I had cut from work, otherwise I would avoid this store like someone with the plague.

The worst place to buy...do not buy any warranty they just steal you money. They dont want to help , they give excuses for no to honored the warranty . I pay for two year protection plan and now they wont fix it. I payed $700 dollars for a air compressor and now the compressor doesnt start they dont want to take a look at it to fixed

Love Harbor Tools. You have to know your prices as some of the tools are close to Home Depot prices, but most of the tools (80-90%) are way below what you would pay at home depot or on Auto Parts store.

Went there today and the guys outside doing construction told me its closed. Meanwhile theres a HUGE sign attached to the gate outside that says, Open during construction... #Fail

If you want cheap tools to use for normal use this place is great. I would say that workers there are not o attentive and lines are long.
