Take everything you think you know about buying sneakers and throw it out the window. Fleet Feet provides 180 degrees difference in customer service and education in why a selection of sneakers are brought out for the customer to try on, walk in, and jog/run on the indoor track. The associate listens to what your current "problem" is with your feet or back, etc. You dont need to have a "problem" basically it is why are you here? What is your goal in looking for a new pair of sneakers? I was looking for a comfortable pair of quality sneakers. I cant remember the last time I had my feet measured. I would a have selected an 8.5. Wrong, a 9.5 size was the better fit. I would have started out by making my selection based on color and style. Wrong, again. After listening to me, the associate brought out a selection based on the construction of the sneakers that would meet my needs. And he nailed it! I have received many compliments on my Mizuno sneakers. When I said I bought them at Fleet Feet, a few of the comments were "oh, that store is expensive". Cost is relative. How much does it cost you when you wear what turns out to be uncomfortable shoes? I have spent for more, over the years, for sneakers that were not as comfortable as the Mizunos that I purchased. And they continue to be just as comfortable today as the day I purchased them. You dont need to be a runner, jogger, or athlete to shop at Fleet Feet. What do I like you ask?... -Selection of products -Ability to run the track to test them -Associate taking video to watch stride of run -Professional, courteous, knowledgeable staff took the time to fit the correct sneaker to my foot for my needs -Associate Dawn was encouraging and proud of my accomplishments. Side note... In 2011, I bought my first pair of Sauconys.. I began my journey of weight loss thanks to your store fitting me for a great sneaker as well as Planet Fitness for providing a great place to exercise. Now, in 2016, five years later, I continue to purchase my sneakers at your store and continue my new, fit life at Planet Fitness (minus 120 lbs...on my own without gastric [no offense to those who have had it...just not for me]! I am asked that all the time..no I did it on my own!!! Hard work and determination is how I did it!). I am my own inspiration. I do what I do for me. I have completed three 5ks in the past year (a Turkey Trot today as a matter of fact- took 5 minutes off my last race). I give Fleet a 10 out of 10 and definitely recommend my family, friends, and anyone looking for superior service, selection, and get into a sneaker right for your needs. I have never written a post in my life. I recently visited the East Syracuse store with my nephew. He had an open fracture of his tibia with internal fixation.(hardware) Visiting from the Boston area, I knew Fleet Feet would provide him with the correct footwear to minimize his altered gait. I have been a physical therapist in the Syracuse area for 36 years and a private practice owner for 25 years. The practice refers many patients to Fleet Feet with rave reviews about their experience. I was blown away!! I was very impressed with the knowledge and professionalism, All to often in salesI have seen a misrepresentation of anatomical deviations presented by the seller to promote sales. Not so at Fleet feet. I listened to every word from multiple sales people that day and every word was well chosen and correct in terms of the advise that was given to the client anatomically and the potential consequence of choice from the athlete to the elderly. In summation, an extremely well run business with a very passionate and knowledgable staff. Such service is very difficult to find. Keep doing what you are doing!!

I brought my elderly mom in to your store to buy sneakers. I loved the time that Dan, our salesperson, took with us and how patient he was. I also loved that he really listened to my moms concerns and understood her foot issues. The first sneakers, unfortunately didnt work out, but we brought them back to the store and were so pleased to be able to return her sneakers with no problem and found the perfect pair, with the help of another salesperson (sorry, cant remember his name, a young man with who had a boot on his foot due to a running injury). My mom has bunions that have prevented her from wearing sneakers or any shoes. She was only wearing flip flops, because it was the only thing she could wear comfortably. She has such bad back problems and also suffers from plantar fasciitis, so she really needed to find some sneakers and insoles that supported her feet and gave her the comfort that she needed. She is so pleased! I am so thankful to you and your salespeo ple for their time and expertise in finding just the right sneaker for my mom.

Your sales associates are very thorough, patient and innovative. They are also very familiar with the product (sneakers). I worked with Marcus. When he told me to put one type of sneaker on one foot and a different sneaker on the other foot, I thought he was crazy. However, when I did this, I was able to immediately differentiate between the types of sneakers and what felt good and what didnt. I happily walked out with a new pair of sneakers (Saucony Triumph ISO2) and ran 12 miles in them the next day with no issues. Based on this, my husband and I came back to the store two days later and he purchased the same pair. We also had him put different sneakers on his feet. He thought this was strange but it turned out to be a good thing. Keep up the good work!

The customer service being thee most important and the knowledge of your associate. Not much of that around in bricks and mortar stores. I was assisted by Chris who was so helpful. Im not a runner or even into participating in a sport, I am a 65 year old woman who thinks she is 40 mentally but physically well lets say I am having back problems. Chris provided me with a great sneaker and insert. Even told me if I was not happy to return. So thank you as I will be back work I need something else..I will say that Chris was right in stating that it would take me awhile to get use to the sneaker due to tears of walking s certain way.. I am hopeful and grateful for his honestly. and for the kind of service that I received at FF..Thank you.. ❤️

I have shopped at many Fleet Feet in various states on the East Coast and across the board they all have exceptional staff. Syracuse us at the top. I took my 70 yrs old mother into the store today for walking shoes for her month long cruise. I wanted her to have the best shoes for HER. I wish I could remember the gentlemans name that heloed us because his demeanor, knowledge, and ability to articulate that knowledge in a clear and concise manner made this experience not only enjoyable but educational. My mother walked away (pun intended) with a complete understanding as to why the shoes she purchased were going to be the best for her. Ive been recommending Fleet Feet for years and this is just another example of why I do so confidently.
