Amazing selection, kind and knowledgeable staff willing to go so far as to explain the different between scotch, whiskey, single malt and double malt and practically anything you could possibly ask about alcohol and liquor. The selection is great, they restock their shelves daily and order from their suppliers twice a week to keep everything absolutely fresh. This is my go-to, better and cheaper than any liquor store on Elmwood and the far surrounding area.

This wine & liquor store is the best in Buffalo if you arent sure what you want! The staff seem to know every detail of each of their products, and are very good at helping you find what you want within your budget--anything from the most inexpensive but good whiskey, to fancy wines. I go out of my way to shop here nearly exclusively :)

I found Hodge Liquor when I lived in Buffalo nearly fifty years ago and was immediately impressed with the courtesy of the staff and the quality of the merchandise. I have long since left New York State but my friends in Erie County tell me that Hodge has maintained its standards and, if possible, improved upon them

Rudely denied my legal out-of-state vertical ID (Im 22) stating a court case as reasoning. Could not cite a court case or any piece of legislation to back this up. Walked 15 minutes to pick up a nice bottle of wine for a friends birthday and will never be returning. I would not recommend supporting this business.

Excellent store! Reasonable prices, amazing wine selection (liquor selection is also good), great location, and there is a convenient parking spot right out front. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.

Great selection but there was a problem with my ID which is fine but the woman at the cash register didnt have to be so rude about it, now I dont feel very welcomed there even when I do update my ID
