I am a 53 year old mother. I went in to this store with my 20 year old son and his 20 year old girlfriend. I spent an hour shopping, being helped by numerous employees. When I arrived at checkout, my son and his girlfriend were asked for ID. I explained to the cashier that they were not 21 and that the alcohol was for me, which it was. I told them that they were my son and his girlfriend, and I was told that I could not purchase the alcohol. I was never hassled once by any other employees while shopping and asking questions with them present, and they werent even holding any alcohol. There is no law stating they are not allowed to sell to me when I am a mother with a child in the store. Would I be denied service here if I were to walk in with a 5 year old? I have done this numerous times in the past when my son was younger and have never once had an issue. They just assume that every adult with underage children is providing liquor to the child. Disgusting. I have never been so frustrated and angry. I am still furious. Just on principle I would never step foot into this store again, and have told all of my friends to do the same. Put up a sign that says we wont sell to parents if your underage children are with you and stop wasting peoples time. Every negative review here is about the same subject matter.

Poor customer service, go to the locations in the suburbs if you go to them at all. Last New Years I went to this place to make a $300 liquor purchase for a party. They refused my valid legal ID and we had to go shop all over again at another liquor store. I swore never to go there again, but was convinced to give them another chance. Tonight went in and once again tried to check out a large liquor purchase for a party. They refused to sell because the person standing in line with me had a recently expired New York state license, even though she had a current photo Seneca tribal ID (which is accepted by all government agencies, the TSA, and literally every other place that IDs for anything) that proved she was thirty. The manager refused to accept tribal ID, falsely claiming that by law she couldnt take it (law says they can accept any valid photo ID from a US protected territory - such as a native american reservation), and the cashier sat there snickering like an idiot the entire time. Im all for preventing sale of alcohol to minors, but refusing valid ID from adults is just bad business. It would be different if theyd been nice about it but both times there was condescension and outright rudeness from the staff.

Worst experience ever!!! Employees and management are extremely rude and inconsiderate! The store itself may be appealing due to its wide selection. However, the service is horrible. I went in there with a group of 3 adults, obviously all over the age of 30. My aunt did not have her ID and they refused the sale even though me and my fiance had ours. She left the store and they would still not allow us to purchase because "we shopped together". I understand not selling to minors, but that is ridiculous since we had our IDs. To make it even worse, we went home to get my aunts ID and went back to the store without my fiance since he had to leave to go somewhere that evening. We went on line and they STILL refused the sale because now my fiance wasnt there!!!!! I didnt realize we all needed to be together to make a purchase. That is the most ridiculous thing Ive ever heard of! We are adults and I believe by law once we have our IDs we can make a purchase. It makes no sense. They claimed that they have video of all of us shopping together so they need all of us to be there at the register. I may understand if we had minors with us, but were all obviously not younger than 21. NEVER GOING BACK THERE AGAIN!!!!

Today I and two friends experienced an UNPLEASED event. I have gone to this store many times previously and I have never experienced this race discrimination that I had today. I went to the store today with two friends and we were looking around by ourselves all time in store. When we approached to the casher, we were about to pay the liquors (of course three of us showed the proper id cards to the casher) and then all the sudden the other casher came to us saying that we needed to bring other two girls to show their ids, too. all of three were like what? who you are talking about?. The lady kept insisting that we came with other two asian girls and she saw we were with two other asian girls and we needed to bring them. I was upset and I told the lady to check the cctv if she does not believe us. she kept saying that we needed to bring them who we have never met , but being considered as our friends because we are asians and they are other random asians. I was really sad and upset to say this, but I felt offended by this race discrimination.

I looked at most of the negative reviews and felt compelled to wrote my own. I was just in the store for the first time the other day. First off the selection is beyond amazing, thousands of varieties of beer, liquor, and wine. I was there around 1pm on a Friday afternoon. I was at the growler station (also had a huge selection, something like 20 varieties) for a few minutes and no one came over, turns out I couldnt buy any thing anyhow as the beer would have sat in my car for hours, but thats the only reason I didnt give a 100% positive review. Prices seemed to be the same as consumers and other local beer and booze stores. The one thing I am unsure of is the value of the cookware, $150+ for a pan and something like $100 for a knife. Way too expensive for my needs, but it is called Premiere Gourmet for a reason I guess.

Premier is definitely a go to place for many of the hard to find wines and beers that are out there. Pricing can be higher than some other places but they do offer good deals. As for dissapointed who complained about being refused a sale for not having ID, they ID everyone, regardless of age as store policy. Ive seen them ID people in their 60s and 70s there and Ive been asked to show ID also, which I do. Many other places are now doing this too. If you dont like that, dont shop there. Theyre just protecting themselves in case the state sends underage people to attempt buying wine and beer (and they often do this as part of compliance checks).

Came into Prime Wines on a Tuesday night and the customer service was just horrible. I went up front to ask a question and it was like a party. I went to the one cashier and when I said excuse me she looked at me like I was interrupting her while she was flirting with one of the staff. When I asked my question she was just rude with her response, seriously if youre gonna run a business dont have 20 year olds running your front end have someone with experience up there and doesnt flirt and play around when customers are in the store. My shopping experience was horrible and there are several places where I can take my business.
